First off What's with the idiot, I have been in loads if squads and not once had any orders to follow, I don't think many people know how to use the SL command and second the most kills I have ever had with a orbit strike is 10 so you must be doing something wrong.

it's pointless to do squad commands for everyone you get maybe what 10 extra WP for getting a kill or even a assists you get a little extra and squad commission is not even worth it you get maybe 2 extra WP for someone using the nanohives you dropped for everyone to use i don't do them when im squad leader for that reason alone unless it is a skirmish then i might do them from time to time just to get the very little extra WP . the point is they are useless not making a argument just stating my opinion why i don't use them anymore because they are pointless and others probably figured out the same thing or they just straight up don't want or know how to use the commands let alone the Orbital Strikes and their are still some who don't even know how to do that properly .

No, you never get assists from those even after contributing for it. (And usually I'm the one with over 1000 WP, but never the Squad Leader)

Im sorry you think that. I don't use them for the exta WP because thats just the cherry on top. I use them/ go to them because they help keep my squad to geather.

Anyone not using squad orders is doing a major disservice to themselves, their squadmates and their corp. Lets look at the facts: As stated by the Dev team the WP reward for actions corresponding to squad orders is 1.2x the base value of the action. This means that you get 10 extra WP on a kill. This translates to more SP and more ISK. Utilizing squad orders creates unity in your squad. By adding a combined sense of purpose the squad is much more likely to stick together making you much more likely to survive an encouter with an enemy/capture a point/destroy a vehicle. Orbital strikes, a direct result of squad orders, are hugely beneficial to a team. They help you clear out large groups of enemy troops, capture points, disrupt enemy actions, and destroy their vehicles. This is going to be a major game mechanic for the life span of this game. If anything the squad order system will gain extra complexity once orbital resources, such as deployable turrets, are integrated into the game. Commanders will be issuing general orders to squad leaders, as well as calling in deployables, and squad leaders will issue more specific targets to their squads. The more you use this system the more comfortable you will become with it once it becomes even more integral to the game. Given these points I would venture to say that squad orders are far from useless. Perhaps the issue is that you are not playing with a squad of people who are working together.
