KiL- Knight Industries Limited Longevity Group
If you are old enough, and spent some of the 80's watching TV you know where I came up with this name......it is limited because this is only a beta and likely might carry over to the release, but that is a ways off still.
In the past one person could make a difference, these days it takes more than one person.
Currently you will find us online after work, 6pm to 2 am eastern US time zone. We will set the FRAGO and everyone gets to be SL. I would prefer that you be over 18 years old, why because I like to curse and like to allow people playing with us to enjoy the freedom of well worded curse about the laggy person that just killed us.
A MIC is REQUIRED, not just for witty back and forth banter amongst team members but because you should be able to tell your team that you were just cut in half by a Fat suited Heavy with a HMG around that corner or that you saw a enemy tank, allowing your team to switch to appropriate loadouts to deal with the situation.
I am the CEO, but it is meaningless title. All I ask is that you play the game. As a move user I will gladly accept other move users and offer my knowledge about it as much as possible, if you played other games with me you know I have the unfortunate ability to match the entire other team in Assists, meaning I will usually do a lot to keep you alive, while sacrificing myself. I would like to get other players who have a similar mindset, for the good of the team or something very close to that.
Other than that there is a no cheating/cheap tactics policy, which is on a case by case basis but generally comes down to don't be a dink.
If you want to battle other corps I am fine with that, but you will have to kick in to the kitty, $62,500 isk up to $125,000 for every 1 million isk that you make playing with the corp. Relax it is an honor system.
So IF you are tired of playing alone, not getting a frago or wondering when your clan will get their numbers up, stop on by and play a few rounds, you will make some SP and ISK. |

Sadly no more BHD for me. Long story short for a change, I was the only one putting in "major" time in to this game, so I was playing alone anyway 85% of the time.
So far, I have been trying to teach the vast majority of players to set the frago, it is amazing how many big name clan players are not bothering to set the frago..... it is about as effective as ccp has been in fixing glaring game breaking issues. |

Zinum, have you ever been a Squad Leader? It would be when you set the order to defend or attack, or capture a point on the map by hitting the down directional pad button, and selecting to set an order. Pretty much when you are the name from the select menu with the Rank stripes next to it or the name at the top of the list for the 4 man squad aka the groups host or the random selected to be SL.
In other words the FRAGO gives you more XP, and IF you do the FRAGO well, you get Precision Strikes. You end up getting more points to the players in your squad. For most of the actions that occur in the FRAGO Zone. |

It really is wide open for recruitement, I have no problem explaining what I have learned or giving someone a break - who is just learning how to play this particular title. This does not have to be a permanant situation, if you try to play with us and don't like how we are playing or if you want to drop the corporation for another one, no hard feelings.
What I do, is merely help people how I can in game, be it carrying a rez kit, now that money is once again flowing it is only a matter of time till I can afford a 50% rez, and drop the militia rez kit for the advanced.
I have had many discussions with other players, about what weapons and what skills to use. Now by discussions I don't mean I tell you what to do, I mean I actually discuss it with you. You want to be a shotgun user, no problem, you want to be a sniper, have at it, you want to go medic, or if you want to go Vehicle or Anti-Vehicle.
At this point I should mention that IF ALL you want to do is get into a dropship and circle the map, there are plenty of other CLAN/CORPS that seem to employ this tactic above the normal (heck it is all they do, and it is a cheap tactic) just shooting at your enemy.....those other clans would be your best bet; UNTIL CCP decides if they are going to let the weapon that is supposedly designed to destroy the dropships can actually hit the dropship.
Eventually, I would like to get a group that knows how to move in a formation almost.... pretty much what happens now is that players group up to close together and the player on point can't back-pedal or dodge how they might need to because the game is just like MAG (it uses the Unreal Game Engine), you can run right thru an enemy but GOD has to help you if there is a friendly to close. |

Still looking for people with MICs willing to fight the good fight.
If you'd like to have a forge gunner who can at least get a shot off at 1 of the 3 enemy dropships (still waiting for ccp to decide what weapon system actually is supposed to work against them) and at least get on comms and tell you that I see 2 enemy tanks while I am waiting for respawn.
We frago (aka set Squad Leader Orders), so if you like getting more points....and who doesn't -- you would enjoy the benefits of having a SL who frequently changes the Frago (orders) and uses more than just defend (capture, & attack). Example would be the attack order on the dropship so that the 4 man squads Forge Gunner or Forge Gunners have a better idea of where it is instead of just scanning the horizon looking for it and not paying attention to the enemy soldier coming for the easy kill of a fat suited heavy. At the same time, if you would like to learn how to be a SL and have the opportunity to figure it out, we can set up the group to have you as the SL and let you, have at it. |

Well, I just wanted to share with you potential recruits, a recent match.
It was a group effort that paid off big time. Now Knight Industries, is a small corporation.....just me and somebodies ALT, since I haven't seen them actually play yet I don't know if they even are still using the name; so when Slap26 (there are 3 other players beside just the 2 of us, but I am horrible with names and my ps3 is at another house so I don't want to guess at their names spelling, get it wrong and offend them) invited me to join their group for a few matches, I jumped at the idea as the randoms lately are not up to the challenge.
What follows is a wall of text that would take maybe a 5 min News style video report of highlights to a story.
The Grouped up players started getting the Squad Leader Left behind issue, a few more times than I have gotten for most of the last 30 days playing as a random. Somehow the MOVE Sharpshooter user became Squad Leader and Launched with 3 of us, Slap having only 1 more game in them, left to join up with another friend for the final match.
Deploying.
Line Harvest , Skirmish:
The team I am on is attacking, at least that is how I remember it going as B was already taken, and normally attackers spawn on A-B side of this map. There ended up being a Lucky meeting as Slap and his friend were also in the match, All the combatants were not present yet, so the game was pretty even for about 3-5 minutes, we capped some things, they capped some things and their team was filled with more corps than randoms; when both sides got brought up to full strength the battle really started.
The enemy seemed everywhere all at once, we were holding on to point D in the north, I'm doing my best to set the frago...but since the Sharpshooter has no R3 button really, holding the move button which is supposed to be R2 and trying to Melee (R3) [stabbing the sharpshooter at my TV] doesn't bring up the command menu like it does on the DS3; leaving me a frequent easy kill as I pull up the map menu to set a frago.
We start to lose our MCC, they have all the null cannons, and it seems like everyone is just going around blowing up all the resupply points for some reason, so I am torn between using the Fat Suit Forge and seeing if my Assault AV can get the job done when the enemy pulls out like 4 LAVs. The bluedots try to pull out their own vehicles but the enemy by this time has got 2 forge gunners of their own up on top of the table in the middle area of the map. The angle the enemy has from up there makes them also deadly to those infrantry on the ground.
We begin to circle our way around the letters, however even when we are able to take one, our fellow squads can't seem to hold them with us for long as we try to recover and keep rolling, the enemy counter-attack is overwhelming (I know I saw a lot of advanced and prototype weapons thrown around in the kill list). By now the writing is on the wall, the enemy is working our team over -- our MCC is going to fall; we have only the CRU in the north by D. I finally see the notification in the corner that we have an orbital, I am asked to take out the table top forge gunners, I standing out in the open in my fat suit, go into the menu and get the Precision Strike off at the table as a sniper drops me. I got one kill and the other ran for it.
The battle seemed to shift at this point, and we were able to rally. Without the immediate threat of the enemy forge gunners, Slap was able to use his tank, our fellow team mates seemed determined too or at least figure out what they needed to do and kept taking out the enemy forge gunners (who probably quickly went broke....as a fat suited heavy, I did feel a momentary pang of guilt about using a Creo to down a few myself, but....) then looked at the score. Our MCC was still a mess, but their one was not that far behind....IF we held all the cannons, maybe we could win.
It was about 5 minutes left and maybe a 1/4 of the total MCC left; we held 3 of 4 null cannons and was working on the 4th D in the north. Our MCC health was getting closer to each other again, but they were still ahead. Then my squad pointed out on MIC that the enemy is down a lot of clones, we could probably win if we worked at it that way. The enemy dug in deep at D.
The fighting that resulted was amazing, I wish I could have recorded it. The team was working towards the enemy CRU : 20 Clones left for the enemy, (maybe) 60 for the friendlies 1 Bar left on our MCC, 2 Bars Left on the enemy MCC.
Working our way out from D we got as far as the hill near the containers and it went on, almost frozen in time - each side trying to hold out for the win. We kept pushing into the withering fire coming from the enemy. I get cut down by a scout with a shotgun who appeared in thin air behind me, and try to spawn into D, for some reason it throws me back into the match over at B.
10 Clones left for the enemy, 30 for the friendlies
As I am running back to D, I get rewarded for setting the frago with another Precision Strike.
I throw open the menu, deal with the stuttering and as my squad is almost screaming on MIC, "Drop it on the CRU!" I drop the precision strike just as the last bar on our MCC drops away.
6 Clones left on the enemy, no bars left on our MCC.
Precision strike dropping in a target rich enviroment.....nope I get one kill. However, I did get 4 quick assists shortly there after. I am running from B to D and then over to the CRU, just waiting for the game to end trying to get back to do anything I can to try to get this victory....suddenly 2 kills come up on the kill feed, they are both enemy deaths....the screen shifts.
VICTORY......
It was one of the BEST games I have had since joining the beta back in early June. |

Why does everyone ask me to join their corporation?
Thanks to the ISK Event (which should be the default rate), there were a lot of good games, I'd say that a good 30 to 40 Ambush games came down to the last second on the clock or the last clone killed. While about 2 dozen Skirmish matches were highlight worthy, coming down to a well placed precision strike. |

A lot of good games, some really close heartbreakers; wherein both teams had 0 clones left in the hopper and it was only a few seconds of seperation that they were able to kill the last clone before we could.
I finally noticed that my corporations planet is some sort of Training Academy.... seems fitting that I am trying to show people how to set the frago.... sadly in the next random game, the person I kept frago'd when possible in the previous game, didn't frago a darn thing!!
Still getting more people asking me to join their corp versus sending an application to Knight Industries. Yeah I don't actively recruit in the local channel, but I really find that tacky...to drop a MAX size for local chat dialog telling people to join such and such a clan. |

A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a game that does not exist. Wakko03, a young loner on a crusade to champion the cause of the Frago and the Assist; in a beta where glitchers operate above the law.
but then....
In 2012, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for the crime of not liking Starhawk. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Dust underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune; if you have a problem, if no one else can help and if you can find them, then maybe you can hire the Knight Industries Team.
We have our good games, down to the last clone, and with the possibility of the NDA being lifted sooner or later, I plan on putting up the video of the fight, instead of just my description of what happened.... they should be some really good games. |

Heartbreak Ridge
It was a dark planet, no signs of life until we got over the ridge. Spread out in the valley before us was line harvest. I was just a Merc doing a job.... full squad of 4. Just past A I see my opponents already busy calling in vehicles, I do the math and decide I can hack D and make it to the resupply for an AV fit before they get there...hopefully.
The rest of the squad hacks C, while I run for the resupply on the east (A-D side), they (the other 3) hack their side up to the resupply before engaging some advance elements of the enemy, there is a about 2 squads of each side fighting within moments.
2 Lavs come rolling up from A to the resupply, just as I finish the Hack. Luckily a AV smurf came up and took one out while I chucked 3 frags at the fat suit hmg who jumped out of the other. Me and AV smurf cautiously approached A expecting at least 4 people to spawn there before we could hack A. I throw one grenade on the roof of the building between A and D and then another just past it, while the smurf he finishes off 2 wounded enemies with an exile. We start the Hack a few seconds later goes the remote explosives and we are no more.
The enemy rallied at B and pushed forward almost as a whole team, I spawned at D in time to bring up the rear and watch as the team captured A. By this time the enemy had sacked the west side of the map, so it turned into a defense of D. It turned into a slaughter pretty quickly, the enemy was using the blaster turrets very effectively to stop us. However scout smurf was able to sneak thru the enemy lines and capture B, sadly the rest seemed to not know where their death came from for a few critical moments; I tried to throw grenades on the capture point to blow up the remote explosives but nobody seemed to want to wait and there many instances of death to remote explosives that slowed down the team. We tried to rally, but while we had enough medics for the first time in a long time, nobody had ammo left, all the resupplies were being covered by enemy snipers.
Finally, having enough -- several people said stop hacking the turrets and about 6 heavies went forth to try and destroy them, this seemed to happen just after the enemy set some clever droplinks up. So the heavies were cut down quickly, but we were successful and managed to gain a foothold again.
The enemy grew careless and complacent, and we managed to hold A, C, D....but it was too late they had 2/3's more MCC than we did. We had one chance our medics kept us in this fight, we had them outnumbered by 20. We took B, but then they took D, several SL tried to call in precision strikes, but the cover of D saved the enemy.
Our soldiers at B fared much worse, with little to no cover close to 6 died immediately, the follow up enemy strike near the resupply around D netted them another mass killing of about 7-9... they were under fire from soldiers at D.
Spawning in at C, I notice that we only have 10 clones left and they have 12, and we only have 3 ticks left on our MCC. As my timer countdown rolls I see 3 more kills for team smurf come up.
The street between C and D became a no man's land of forge gun blasts, non-stop hmg fire, frag and flux grenades, each side in a no holds barred battle, all I know is that it was a photo finish. I was busy fighting at D when the match ended, I looked at the corner of my screen to see nothing left of the friendly MCC and no clones left on either side, I didn't have time to notice the kill feed so I don't know who killed who first in the last moments of the game or if it was simply the destruction of the MCC....but it was a Defeat (nothing else under it, like clone reserves depleted or mcc destoryed...even though it went boom).
When it was over the whole team had a lot of WP, and a few more deaths than usual from the extra deaths that a low powered rez kit is responsible for, but it was a lot of fun. |

It is a morning for perspective, within 12 to 14 hours a book will be released; one that culminates in a finale for a story 23 years in the telling.
The Wheel of Time Saga, Book 14, A Memory of Light (Robert Jordan [rip]; finished by Brandon Sanderson)
For the next couple of days, I don't know how much Dust will be played.
Then in dust news we have this big announcement upcoming, so rumor is talking about a wipe, will have to see what actually happens to corps. |
