IN REGARDS TO THE EVE DUST ISK TRANSFER

I had just seen this post by CCP Nullarbor so coming out with the TCD side of the story.

CCP Nullarbor wrote:Transferring ISK from an EVE account to a DUST account is unintended behaviour. I would recommend the corporations who have done this to leave it in their corporation wallets while we investigate.
Yesterday morning(the19th) I was told by another corp that with the Coming of Capsuleers to Sisi we could transfer ISK from a corp to a player. Now I took it at first that it was an intended game mechanic and we tried it and it worked. Then I started to think about it and thought maybe this was an exploit. So I sent a email to CCP because I want my Corp in the tournament and did not want to be excluded from it due to this action. I got a responce from it that seem to give the ok after seeing Jenza of Betamax having people "Clap" on Local for ISK- sends from a EVE character conected to her the night before.

Here is the copy of that mail. I will forward to any CCP member that wants it.

I can't see why CCP cant use this as a test between isk transfers. it can give them some valuable info on how they could tax the transfers between DUST and EVE characters when the game has been fully released.

I have to agree with Zekain in regards to this situation.

This is not the first time CCP implemented a feature that had an undesirable effect but also a provided a wealth of information.

In Eve Online, on April of 2012 shortly after Fanfest and after The Mittani was booted from the CSM7 for his behavior, Goonswarm Federation launched a personal, economic, and weekend-long incursion against the Jita Star System. Let it be made clear that Jita is the economic hub of all of New Eden with only Amarr, Dodixie, and Rens trailing behind throughout the four empires. Not only that, this attack on Jita came right when the market was still recovering from the massive hit on the Oxygen Isotopes (Oxytopes for short) market after Goonswarm attacked every possible ice mining ship in 7 of the most well-populated Gallente systems that had blue ice.

Anyways, during this attack on Jita, Goonswarm utilized so many battlecruisers (Tornadoes in particular) in such large numbers in a single day in combination with frigates and destroyers and right when freighter pilots are scrambling to pick up their assets before the Goons' scheduled attack (they attacked a day early) that an issue actually came up once Time Dilation (TiDi) kicked in within high-security space for the first time in Eve Online history.

The issue was with Concord (in-game police) accidentally shooting the wrong ships that had no global criminal flag on them once TiDi kicked in. CCP saw this as an opportunity to learn more about what is actually wrong with TiDi and then took the proper steps to fix it.

This is a perfect example of how CCP handles an unintended side effect of a feature.

CCP will no doubt learn from the recent ISK-Transferring incident for Dust 514 and will probably make sure this doesn't happen again while at the same time they now have a very good idea on how much ISK is expected to flow between Eve Online and Dust 514 once the connection is finally live.

Well this feature will be coming in the future we just got a little taste of how much ISK will flow from Eve to dust.

That's a cool story, and also a spot-on definition of why I don't play EvE.
