Second slowest movement, second least health, only one weapon slot, only one low power slot (militia suit), all that in exchange for the extra slots open so you can play a support role for your team carrying around equipment. Are you hating on the logistics suit just because it looks the coolest, or is there something else I'm not seeing?
Yeah, logistics players can carry around a lot of stuff to get points for helping the team, and you can use your own nanohive to replenish ammo (pointless for a Logiunit since it earns us no points and we rarely fight anyway). But why is it that they are handicapped so harshly for playing support? That is their main role on the battlefield. If your goal is to ensure the logisuit isn't adapted to a heavy combat role, you don't have to take away so much. I don't mind the speed, damage, and single weapon limitations, but it's a support suit and therefore should hold more modules for customization purposes and have a higher CPU/PG rating to scale with that.
It needs to be a far more versatile suit for support characters, since support characters have to try to keep up with the ever changing situation differently than a regular frontline player. You could stack a few weapons modifiers and add a light weapon to support fire between repairing and dropping hives and uplinks, or add a few shield strength mods to keep you safe while healing or catching back up with your squad after you have to respawn. What ever your loadout, having more low power module slots is really needed to make it more versatile.
Take away the grenade slot if need be on lower tier Logisuits, or drop the health a bit more if need be, but please think about giving us more low power slots so we can make our support suit more adaptable. |

I don't get why a minmatar suit is so slow. Sure it will have made from scrap in a garden shed, but with the lack of armour should come some speed? It must be faster than the square head made assault suit?
Other than that, I can manage with most other parts, although I cannot workout which weapon is best suited. I think the tactical AR's have the edge. I had hoped that the laser would have worked, but the damage penalty at close range means you miss the side arm. |

Your speaking just on militia suit though, its not as bad as you paint it.
Ive been able to more then hold my own as a logi against assault players, one thing that i do find annoying at times is the lack of a secondary since i can find myself alive for long periods of time and with no ammo, but its not too big of a deal.
Type-2 is meant for a more aggressive Logi, with speed that can overtake assault i believe (or last build it could anyways), and has better slots
Type-1/Standard is better with the slot issues, speed still slow.
The suits do get some heavy disadvantage early on, but later versions are very nice (although i have yet to actually spend money on them... dont find there is a reason to in pubs) |

Maybe you should spend less time joining corps with cute names, and more time playing the game.
You can use your own nano have to replinish ammo, but a logi, who specs right, can access gauged units, which you can deploy 3 of, your avg run'n'gun guy doesnt have thoes spec.
Where is the Handicap? Logis can earn more points in a map then most run-n-gunners.
Upgrade your dropsuit use, and you will see. I currently run 3 equipment slots, more then enough.
Why would you ever put a weapon modifier on a logi? It sounds to me like you want to play assault, so go play it.
If CCP ever takes away the grenade slot for logi i will be gimped, what is the point of carrying 2 different slots of nano hives, if i cannot spam grenades?
Really dude, if you want to go play assault go play it. This is not a run and gun class, this is a support class, if you cannot handle that, use your other character slot and make a character you can enjoy.
I consistently top match boards, no by kills, but by warpoints, because a) I understand the strengths of this class, and b) I dont try to make this class something it is not, which i think is where all your trouble is stemming from. |

You can carry nano-hives, your argument is invalid. |

While I concur that there's a lack of balance for speed and armor/shields being so low (ONE of these should be on par with Assaults, c'mon CCP), I still top boards with my team when we run by reviving, resupplying, recloning, and hacks (logi seems to hack faster than other dropsuits, add to that hacking skill, not even modules, and you're king of objective hijacking, as long as you can get there with, if not before, everyone else.
Get in a squad, run WITH them (I know this is hard for most people to wrap their heads around), and support them. I'm a bit more aggressive than some other logis, but I still think I do a decent job.
Of course, because of this, I'm still raising the cry: CCP! Fix Nanite Injector target points!!! Attach it to the body, attach it to the place of death, not some arbitrary floating position SOMEWHERE NEAR one or the other. I can't tell how many times I've sat for 10 seconds mashing that thing while doing a ballet dance all over the field trying to revive someone.
Also... Proto suit anyone? Hell yeah... 4 of everything! (Of course, making Logi the most expensive dropsuit on the field when fully decked out, both SP and ISK-wise) |
