Hello to all the girls that have posted here :) great to see and hear of so many girls playing. Maybe a girls against guys match in the future for kicks and giggles.
To others that have posted implying that I am male, anyone who has played with me knows who I am and I am happy to know those people. I don't need to validate myself or burn my bra to impress anyone or try and prove something when clearly those that feel they need to question who I am do not know me :)
BTW - My in game Comrad and real life husband GuiltyBoy is happy I am a girl :)

Well for the miss informed that can not under stand girls killing them. Guiltygirl is in fact my wife in the real world. She and myself are vets from MAG. If you have ever played this. You might have seen her in your logs quite often as she beats me quite regularly lol. But as some of you might see. We're like the other 1000's trying to navigate ourselves around a completely different field in Dust. Also we work for a living hence we can't put 4000 hrs into this like some other. No disrespect intended :-) |

It's their choice at any rate if they want to do so, and they all die the same way. Nonetheless. So long as they are not trying to take people for granted. Good luck on the battlefield. Men and women both.
Not all of us are weird. I've noticed it is rather unremarkable for guys in EVE to have female toons. Dunno why that is. EVE is the only MMO I've ever really played, until DUST anwyay, so I never thought anything of it. Guess it's not that common in other games? Never put much thought in to it, always assumed everyone was a guy no matter what their toon was. I mean, I knew women played it, but I figured they didn't advertise. Had someone in our corp once, wasn't for 2 months until we were finally running NULL ops using TS before I found out it was a girl. Like I said, never gave it much thought before playing DUST and people here don't seem to be as used to it. I always make characters, not avatars anyway. That way when I'm bored and have tequila I can make up hilarious back stories for them.
Also, I fear the joke of using ALTina McALTerson as a main is lost on a lot of people. Must be another EVE thing since in EVE everyone is an alt. In EVE people's alts have alts. There actually was a time when my corp had more alts than it did members, but that was when we were just starting out. |

That's cool that you're both gamers. My wife hates all games...except Ocarina of Time and Mario Kart Wii. She absolutely destroys me in Mario Kart and gets annoyed cause I'm slowing her down in Ocarina of Time. She even beats me fishing. How she can have no interest in games and be beastly at those two is just one of life's great mysteries, I guess. |

I'm unaffected either way. I just find it different, if not a bit weird how a majority of men will play as women. Varying reasons of course, but again it does not affect me. Is it common place? Yes, and no. Some of the time you will see an over abundance of female avatars (toons) and then you have some of these players whom use the avatar to take advantage of other people for gear, or experience. I was just laying out there that this does happen though. Are there real women whom play? Yes. Unfortunetly they are over shadowed at times due to the stigma that a majority hides or RP (Role Playing) as women for whatever reason. So it gets confussing, and sometimes hostillity, misplaced aggresion due to past experiences happen; as well as overly affectionate players whom usually, or typically are younger males who are naive'. They happen to be victims more often then not and then become hostile, or scorned. Vicious cycle if you ask me. However there is hope as women players are becoming a large majority of the gaming community and population world wide. Both in and out of the industry. Most women I know grew up playing Pong on the Atari, or Super Mario for the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System). The sad news is that they will have hard time due to the stigma over the years created by the male populace taking advantage, or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Either way not all men roleplaying as females are bad, but the stigma does not help. Sorry if I confused you though earlier. |

I was originally a PS2 player with a love of Tony Hawk, i was a proud and point scoring grind queen then switched to Xbox when it first released but never got into anything too serious. I only started playing FPS since owning my PS3 with my first game being Resistence 2. Once I learnt the controls I graduated to COD and battlefield but found I didn't enjoy them as much as MAG. Between both my partner and I we have amassed over 100 PS3 games with one of my favourites being FPS and horror genre. I couldn't imagine not being a gamer now and it's very cool to share this interest as a hobbie with my hubby. Means no girl tantrums over him playing games all the time :) cos I am right there with him. Two play stations, two 32" tvs wedded bliss I say :) |

Essentially what you mean to say is that there is no argument over whom will be Player One. Ha-ha!
That is always and will be a relationship strain between any two or more gamers. Friends, significant others, and/or spouses. Doesn't matter. Involve a second gamer, and one game system/platform and you will have a problem. |

The way it was written suggested that it was a stepping stone to Cod, even though it's actually a steep plunge down from Resistance to Cod |

I'm a leader of Onslaught Inc, so I just mostly play with my corp and my alliance (ROFL) but it'd be cool to run into you one day on the battlefield.
