+1. Even though I'm in Ireland I agree that it's a bit of a joke for the rooster times. At the very least the first two weekends are the only ones with a Friday slot so the Friday start time should be changed to later. |

I work Wednesday night through Saturday night. Pretty much every time except Sunday afternoon interferes with my life. Guess what, I will be at this tourny with bells and friggin' whistles!!!

This is asinine. You really think the best corp is determined by who has the most EU players or US players with no job? Honestly? You can't even take off because it is spaced out so much.
The fact is, as Hunt said, the full game is more than likely going to have clashes of the time zones, so the corp that has members from as many areas as possible is going to rule the roost. And what, are you making excuses already. A lot of the crowd I know here have jobs, partners, a life. Go cry some more

I'm well aware it's a tournament. And much as I now don't think they should change times other than possibly the three Fridays slots, I'll still respect other peoples views on the times. The weekend slots from 2pm ET to 4pm ET are grand. What I do have a problem with is idiotic comments like yours about no job players. Just shows how much you know about the gamers around you. The scheduled times as they stand for the USA, including the Fridays, are perfect for a lot of the service industry personnel, a big part of the gaming community, but no no, little old you figures that anyone that can match the times doesn't work. It's us that miss out on the tournament with the times for the EU as it's going on after the majority of shifts start. Friday and Saturday evening/nights aren't easy to switch.
The bottom line is that some time zone gets hit bad. Others don't get it as easy as the ones that it suits perfect. Within that then peoples life's run on different hours. It's a game, not life, so if you can make it, sweet. Cop on and quit whinging. |
