I've seen a topic on this a while back but there was no good reason why to remove it or make it to were players cannot get kills behind it. Once cloaking is added in, think how many spawn snipers there is going to be and since they be behind the redline cloaked there won't be much anyone can do about it. |

and how does this help?
obv when cloaking is added they will be some sort of counter to it and there will be limitations to it snipers hiding in the redline dont serve a purpose anyway.
on what map can a sniper sit behind the redline and be effective? hes only a nuisance when a team loses all their points and ppl are effectively doin what they did in MAG and just sit on the edge of the redline spawn campin ppl |

- Speculation. We have no idea how cloaking is going to work.
- If you notice that someone is shooting at you when you go near their spawn side, stay out of the line of site from it. I don't beleive there are any objectives that have a clear line of sight from the spawn in the redzone to the spot where you hack the objective.
- The issue isn't "using the redline" rather than "gaguing where my redline stops and staying on the other side of it". In essence, they're remaining within their control range while you're stuck inside of yours.
- Snipers don't decide the game. They act as support players. If you're in a skirmish and a sniper is redlining, you don't have to worry about them hacking anything and if you're concerned that they "might shoot you" you can call in a vehicle and roll in style. (That said, when I know where my snipers are I love to draw enemy units into their line of fire by pretending I don't know what the hell I'm doing.)
- If you peek close enough to their base and they kill you, they should get credit for it. After all, I'm getting credit for blowing up their LAVs before they can field them and all of their defensive turrets -- it's only fair that they have the opportunity to have credit for fighting back.

It'll stop redline player from being useless KDR whores.personally adding a redline is just ******** anyways. If I wanted to deal with a redline I'd go back to playing B3 really should just make it to we're a player has to move out of the redline to get kills or do anything. |

When cloaking is implemented, snipers may be very disappointed. If it follows CCP's Eve cloaking tech, and I don't see why it shouldn't... 1. Anyone within two meters of you will drop your cloak. 2. Movement speed dropped 70% to 50% while cloaked. 3. Cooldown of at least 30 seconds before you can recloak. 4. Cannot fire while under cloak. 5. 3 to 5 second delay before you can fire after dropping cloak. |

Mmhhh, I don't see the use of cloak for offensive purposes. I don't know about the rest of you, but the most effective offenses are the ones that do not "turtle" their way to a capturable nodes (although I am willing to be proved wrong though, after all, tactical opennes and adaption contribute to victory). Turtling my way to an objective unnoticed with cloak, yikes, no thank you.
However, defensive use of the cloak to protect capturable nodes, ah! Now THERE"s an excellent use for cloaking! Fooling an offensive team into thinking the node is unguarded, and right before they know it.... POW, RIGHT IN THE KISSER!!! XD. |

Provided the fire delay on cloak dropping doesn't get the stealth team killed first.
I see it more as a sniper gets in position and waits, undetected, under cloak. When they see a target they want to shoot, they drop cloak, wait for the delay, then pop their target. Then wait, or move, till the cooldown timer expires, then recloak. Rinse and repeat. |
