seriously at certain times of the day (now all day) the fps drops to 2-5, with warping, struggling to load textures, missing chunks and everything under the sun. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE grind this out before the tourny!!! |

Would be nice, but I have a feeling this can't be resolved with a hotfix, and another patch would be required. I just hope the patch is small rather than having to re-download the 2.5GB one again.
Has CCP even said or remarked about this issue yet? It's pretty gamebreaking. |

I bet the frame rate lag has a lot to do with a RAM issue with the PS3. If you notice, the bigger maps and the more action going on around you, the more the HDD light flashes and the more it has to access the RAM. Skyrim had this problem where it the CPU would also get so over worked due to the the low RAM that the frame rate would drop down really bad and you'd have to quit game and reload the game just to fix it so it would clear out the built up cache. Easiest way to fix that if that is the case would be to lower the graphics/quality/textures a degree. Yeah, the game wont look a pretty but would you rather have a game that runs smooth but doesn't look that good or a game that runs poorly but looks good? |

something about it was mentioned in IRC i believe theres an unknown memory leak on SiSi which is causing some of the current issue.
@ gizmo
ive seen lag-free gameplay the first few days they released the precursor build early back when we were still on the Big Ben or Buckingham server, so it can be done but i do believe its a server side problem over a PS3. |

I do remember about the memory leak also. If that is the case, all CCP would have to do is take the servers down from a day or so, find the leak, recode it and fix it. Lets face it though, we've had frame rate lag problems since what, 4 builds ago and CCP has yet to fully address them properly. Instead they are more worried about adding in more features to test but seems like they are not taking in account the players that get discouraged because of this issues and stop testing the beta. |

So dust is causing lag in Dust? |

another problem is when you play it for a while without problems this can happend on any map. Normally i dont have issues with frame rate and such cause of my SSD but after playing to many matches it starts to get horrible. Only way to be sure that this doesnt happend in the tourny is simply restarting the game. Quit the game and restart it thats what our corp is doig before we go into corp matches. |
