So with CCP organising a beta tourney for some ingame prizes how many ppl think ringers will be all over the place.
Reason i ask is i wanna know how much winning means to ppl? i have pride in my roster and my teammates and using ringers is something ill never do because it takes away from the feeling that YOUR OWN guys actually got the job done.
Win or lose its gonna be my guys through and through.
So how many corps are like this? how many u think gonna grab some top ringers from other corps who cant field the numbers?
discuss. |

I'm sure it will happen, there's quite a few mercs who are still in npc and would be willing to join up for the prizes and fame then leave back to where they came from to be called upon again by another merc corp in the future |

Ringing is encouraged. |

well it depends. Those ringers will have to be in the team before the teams sends its application for the tournament as screenshots are required for it.
And as there's only 16 spots, it may be short to get ringers. |

You have to give the date and time when your corp reached 25 gamers.... Maybe it's for a reason (real question, no ironic ) |

Non clan member who join your clan just for the battle. People "ring" them when needed. Might not be the origin of TE term ringer though... Mercs for hire essentially. Like Crimson said, it's encouraged in Dust. You only have to be in squad. |

Ringers???
Who cares?
We all have a chance at this, so, may the best team to get organized in time win, pure and simple.
As for cheaters ruining the experience, well, I don't run with cheaters and I have no worries 'bout any potential bans or such.

Ringers, probably yea. But one of the main points of eve is buying or selling loyalty, so in dust if people want to win they will do whatever they can. |

doesnt the roster photo lessen the chance for ringers, doubtful many will stay and wait for the hopes they get to play with your corp so either they will be exempt or corp jump. |

This game is about mercenaries. There is no issue with having ringers. If your corp decides that it values mercs who don't jump from corp to corp, then they won't get hired.
There is no reason to have policies against ringers in a game that is focused on self-interest and mercenaries. This isn't MLG |

a ringer is a player with an excellent gun game that clans would bring in for the sole purpose of winning the match, the player was not affiliated with the clan except whenever the clan asked them to play once the battles were done the ringer would leave the clan and run solo until another clan asked for help. |
