I have played since last build, and i have only seen only 6 people who revive and rep. People this build will use the front line starter fit with a good AR, or a militia heavy with a HMG. If meta lvl is how you make money this game will go nowhere because people can barely make 80k with 12 kills. WE need another way to make money because I can go 14-1 with my type-1 assault suit and make 85k. I make a lot of sp from hacking but i don't make enough isk to hold basic fits. With out teamwork and a steady stream *dosn't have to be a lot* of isk this game will be as boreing to play as COD. I had high hopes for this game but its not showing me that it's going to live up to them.

If you have a UVT, go to team chat and see if there are anyone with nanite injectors. Switch to that squad and stay with the squad. It helps to know who you are playing with. Find a group on corp chat. That helps too. |

at the moment, there isn't enough communication and regular teams to get the "medic train" rolling in the pub rooms.
i'm not running out in the open for someone who is gonna respawn and waste my kit.
much easier to run ar with nano and wait til im on empty and throw it down for me and the crew at a objective then go with the rez.
repair personel will end up making more sp in this game then everyone when the time comes. those cats will stock big big bank.
just wait for it

Is that kinda the point...........team up!
Someone posted a similar complaint about lack of ISK etc regarding funding from EvE players and the same principals apply. You need to get into a decent corp and if you are any good, especially as Logi, then I would imagine (could be wrong) that you will likely never have to purchase another item in your DUST career.
I do understand where you are coming from, but I think the complaint should be about supporting yourself solo/lonewolf, which is going to be an issue. |

just wait...
installations will make a big impact and change income. market resale of loot alone is gonna get most of the solo players to the break even point, if they understand math. you're working with a VERY small market share right now. i'd be curious to know the total number of active accounts. as the rewards increase, so will the need for mics. right now folks are just trying to figure out how to manage their own crap. too hard in a beta to work for a few weeks and have it all wiped again. you'll burn out before you get to market.
just keep telling yourself
"it won't always be like this"

Long time Logistics player here. Repair tool has been nerfed with a hotfix to prevent repair-farming. Now we get no returns whatsoever for repairing allies or anything else, so most of us have dropped the repair tool and went for other things like nano hives and droplinks. When/if that issue is fixed we'll pick it back up, until then we are hurting for points badly and barely eeking out any rewards in battle so repair tools will be few and far between in battle. |

I think I managed 129k the other day.......after I went like 17-1... from hitting LAVs and turret installations with forge guns. Thats what i end up doing half the time the first part of the match is looking for good places to drop uplinks. And I agree that we need more ways to make money. People think its hard to get started in EVE but it's not. It's easier to get started there than here. Even in early 04 it wasn't all that hard to either mine a bit till you could buy a decent ratting frig, or run starter missions to do so. I get some amusement out of the game when I think about the fact that some suits and weapons here cost more than a frigate in EVE use to. When you put that into a perspective of scale, frigates in eve are 60meters to 139meters long. On average around the size of a football field.
I know what you mean though, I had high hopes for this game too. Been waiting for it since CCP originally announced it back a few years ago. Thats the problem, people want it to be like COD, or Battlefield, MAG, etc. I don't, I want dust to be like Dust. They have a good formula from EVE that they could build off of, but they aren't, other than the base skill tree and weapon types. |
