Hey there. A french player i see and talk to now and then suggested something that may be a good idea in order to give more importance to the dropship pilot role :
Make it so that when someone gets off a dropship, all the actions he does then (hack, kill, resupply someone, medic, etc....) gives the dropship pilot a commission. maybe this could work like some sort of ghost\fake squadleader position for the dropship pilot for a definite amount of time.
Say 3 minutes for example ?
It would allow the dropship pilot to get WP out of moving player on the field. |

i like the general idea u have BUT i think 3mins is too long think about it he has 2 gunners and 4 spots for passengers those 4 jump out and he has a 3 min timer on each so his wp would come in fairly quick
now imagine he has a CRU on his dropship 4 guys jump out (start of there 3 min timer) 4 guys spawn within 1 min of those jumping and jump them selves starting there timer(3 mins) he still has 2 mins left ont the first 4 guys
reduce it to 30sec to 1 min might be more realistic |

Yeah, the 3 minute part was kinda of a broad example. I just tried to figure out a way for him to get some hack WP. But yeah, even 30 seconds would be a nice touch for them. |

I have an idea how about for every guy that gets/spawns in then gets out you get 50sp? would make being a dropship worthwhile sp wise |

You get WP for every spawn already i think. And for every "in and out", may be a nice exploit |

Incorrect, spawns in the Dropship do not get any WP (Which is the reason I turn my Dropship into a Gunship with Troop Carrying capacity instead of reducing its protection to let people spawn on my ship)
What Dropships need; - WP awards for spawns - Ability to kick Passengers, people have a tendency to stay in the ship instead of getting out to fight hoping they can get WP from the Gunner kills
Don't add farmable things such as Picking up troops and dropping them off gives you a commission off everything they do for a period of time. I can go around with my squad, get them in my ship, let them get out, fly off, they'll get me points whilst I do nothing. It'll be abused |
