So, after the update, the cached data file notification has stopped appearing. Though my recurring "Unable to Connect to Playstation Network" error keeps appearing randomly. There is absolutely nothing that specifically provokes it. It happens at completely random times and will only happen during a download or in-game. I've been trying to see what is causing this issue since the end of July and I have, to no avail, found a single thing. I've googled the issue and even asked friends and sent a support ticket in. The support ticket fixed it temporarily but the issue has returned again. The original fix was just to delete the game and redownload it and restart my PS3 multiple times while doing so. Somehow it fixed it, but I tried the same suggestions this time around and I have not experienced any chage. Is there anyone else with this issue?
Also, to clarify: I will get the alert that I am unable to connect to PSN BUT I am still able to download files even after the message comes up and when I receive the message in-game, the game still goes on. So I am not actually unable to connect, I'm just getting an error telling me so. When I get the notification in-game, my character just sits there immobile while the battle around me continues. People kill me or just stand there and look at me since I'm not doing anything. If it happens during a download, the download continues and when it finishes, nothing happens and the error simply remains. Sometimes, since it's resurfacing, the alert will pop up multiple times after it has already appeared. It will pop up and while a download is continuing, the alert will pop up again and again until the download finishes.
I am not disconnected from PSN, I'm still able to access everything, even remain in chats with friends while playing Dust and talking in a Private Chat through PSN. The game will say I am unable to connect but I am not actually disconnected.
To clarify as well: I am unable to connect to PSN NOT DUST SERVERS. I've never had an issue with connecting to the Dust servers. It's simply the same error every time at random intervals with nothing specific occurring to provoke it. Help? |
