The game has become really polished over the builds. However one piece that has always been a bit glitchy, has been hacking. I don't know if it is a quirk due to higher latency (playing from Australia), or random controller interference, etc.
Bug This has bug has happened a few times: Standing directly in front of a hackable entity, I keep looking directly at it, without moving. But instead of a successful hack, the meter will fill up, then randomly reset itself during the hacking process, causing it to start again. Nothing is more frustrating than you run at a control point, attempt to hack it, get to 80%, have it reset, then as you attempt a 2nd time, you get taken out.
Suggested fix Just make hacking be slightly more forgiving, and if the hacking process starts again within 1/4 of a second of it "stopping" then just continue where it left off. Just put in a bit of a buffer time before the hack resets, will allow random controller / latency fluctuations to now cause the timer to reset. |

Yep good suggestion, solves the lag problem and is a bit more realistic, getting a brief interruption shouldn't COMPLETELY reset hacking, some adjustments should be made. |

I think that the hackings secuence should go backwards instead when you are being interrupted, you know when you are hacking and the bars in the wheel fill up. When you stop to hack, imagine it going backwards instead and if you can continue the hacking it does not reset the whole thing.
Hope you understand what I mean. |

That makes sense, so by default it sort of 'hacks itself' backwards when it is no longer being hacked. On that note a module that allowed remote hacking when you attach it to a station which gets weaker the farther your proximity would be cool. Then if someone hacks your station, by stopping and remote hacking your station yourself you can slow their hacking progress (Counter hacking), and if your skill with hacking is high enough and your proximity close enough you can even stalemate them, or reverse their hacking while their hacking (Literally hacking wars with other players). This would add a whole new element to electronic warfare gameplay.
That being said, I think if they do something like this, which I think they should, they need to also return the old ability to destroy bases, that is VERY important I think and is something that needs to be added. Hacking shouldn't be our only option, destruction of all installations should also be a possibility, even if it drastically reduces time.
Then when commanders are present, the ability of the MCC to retreat like it did in old builds should return as well. These are also important features a lot of the new players haven't seen. |

The problem is with the PlayStation 3 Controller, or some sort of update check information... tbh I'm not sure the precise cause, but I do know DUST isn't the only game that the Face Buttons have an issue recognising they are constantly being pressed.
What confuses me more though is they solved this issue with the Ironsight Button, which was horrible for the same thing at the launch of the beta. Still I've found Hacking has this glitch, Crouch and Jump also seem to only acknowledge they've been pressed every 8/10 attempts.
To be honest it has left me quite disappointed with the PlayStation 3 hardware, as there were many times playing the Uncharted Series where I'd press a button and nothing would happen which led me to die. Have been thinking of getting a 3rd party controller, but what puts me off is most of them are usually even lower quality in feel and use with Razr ones being frankly half the cost of my damn console! |

Lets hope that they take the feedback on this. In my opinion, this is the only thing holding the game back from being truly polished at this point. |

+1. This bug is very frustrating. I tried to fix the problem by use the codebreaker but the bug persists. |

Ugh, happened again last night in a Corporation battle. I could have hacked it completely about 4 times, in the time it took to successfully hack it through to completion. |

This also keeps happening to me. I thought it maybe had something to do with teammates trying to hack something else (as in it's intended to cancel your hack). That way it would force people/teams to communicate.
I guess it's a bug/controller issue though. Which would make sense since half my gun fights look like I'm trying to quickscope with an assault rifle. |
