The game was not a pretty sight. You pilots know its OP, and that is why I am calling for the NERF-HAMMER.
FYI a transport- ship should not be the deciding factor in AMBUSH.

All you need is 1 forge gunner and down goes the dropship. If you ask me drop ships need a boost to armour and pg/cpu .. |

Never thought I'd see the day when the dropship was labeled an "I win button".
New movement controls introduced that made piloting more challenging, ridiculous impact physics that throw the ship about like a kickball, undoing the forge nerf and now the artificial flight ceiling.
Did I miss anything? Oh yeah, good ships cost in the neighborhood of 4-500K but pilots get no SP for spawns or shuttling people and only assists for gunner kills.
i have piloted dropships extensively in both of the last builds, but have not flown a single ship in this build. If the ships in this build were unbelievably OP I'd be on the ground running logi and dying with the rest of the ground pounders. A good pilot with a few spamming gunners can be a real pain, but even a few militia swarms are usually enough to keep a dropship scrambling the whole match.
In the past two builds I skilled Swarms all the way up to counter dropships and tanks, but haven't even bothered to yet in this build. No disrespect to anyone posting, but I just don't see it.

Drop ships shouldn't be able to just make swarms disappear. That's the only bug. At least 2-3 swarms should hit. |

Well dropships as of now are a bit OP, but not really....if they have a good pilot there is little that can affect them...only forge guns can actually hurt them, and one forge gunner won't do it. With the size of the maps the forge gun loses a lot of its stopping power before hitting the ship...if it does hit, timing and aiming the forge on a DS isn't easy either. A DS can just cirlce the map while shooting missles down that will kill on a direct hit and have big splash DMG as well....the other team needs at least two forge gunners or the DS will just hide, shield rep, and return |

Why am I always too early to the OP thing?
I used myrons and mass drivers not too long ago, when they were underpowered. Now that I stopped using both, they're overpowered.
I'm using SMGs and LAVs this build- just in case you wanna know what's next for being OP after I stop using it. |

my militia rail gun should make short work of the drop-ships but since it has an effective range now it's borderline useless against a good pilot. |

This game clearly needs more rails so that we don't' have to make as many difficult choices. |

I was in the match I saw it and I saw how he sat it on the hill and shot it like a noob who can't fly. i lose my dropship nearly every time I fly one and it costs money, a lot of money. militia swarms shouldn't do crap to dropships, unlike tanks, infantry, and LAVs, dropships have no place to hide. we can't just dip into cover and heal up we need the armor and shields to keep our boats in the air. if ever tom, ****, and jane with a militia swarm could knock us out of the sky then piloting would be even more pathetically uneconomical than it already is. no nerf! |

DS piloting is a negative play experience at this point. Weak firepower. No speed advantage. No ability to go vertical. No payout at all for risking 500k+ in isk. Until they find some way to reward pilots or at least give us a nose mounted scrambler pistol, i'll stick to ground pounding, with the occasional flight for giggles.
The fact that there is absolutely no distinction between AT and AA ads to the suck. Vehicles still have huuuuuuge balancing issues if they are going to be a viable part of the game. |

At least 2-3 swarms should hit. there is also the whole missiles won't go after the vehicle "bug" that will make missiles see the front of the dropship as an obstacle and will travel around the dropship and proceed to follow it so if the pilot keeps moving he won't be hit even if you locked the missiles on and fired it strait at the ship. |

A good pilot with good gunners can be a nuisance, but all it takes is a swarm launcher or two to stop them. They'll either get shot down or keep running. |
