This might get locked since there is no out of topic forum sub section yet but. Could someone repost this on the eve online site? I haven't played eve much but when I saw the new dev blog this seemed an obvious change to the system. Maybe someone could help me out? I would love eve if it was more tactical and less guess work.
Seems like a good change, I don't think it's enough quite yet to get me to play *I'm one of those nutter won't play until WiS is release nut jobs*
Still If factional warfare in dust and eve works well, I will def play eve again, I just don't want to give them my money this time untill after they deliver on the game.
So anyone help a brother out? :P

And I played eve from beta to 5 years, I know how eve works. It's a lot of guess work. You can't tell what direction other ships are flying to line up your flight path in order to increase yur chance to hit with a crit, you have to eye it and guess which direction he's going. The brackets just woo wherever.
Watching your angular velocity by turning it on in the overview and then memorizing your tracking speed helps. But by god why isn't that information in a place where you can see it and use it effectively? Do you think airplanes in WW1 were more effective than jets made nowadays with heads up displays that tell the pilot whats going on at all time on his heads up display?

I'm not talking out my ass, adding combat awareness to bring the games tactics up into the players HUD is happening. And that kind of change is something I think would really change combat in the game from, press f1 go to sleep, to more players understand how to mirco and how to play properly.
I stopped playing eve becuase while I could get it, none of my friends could. Eve has a great system , and CCP is taking steps to finally have the game teach you how to play. Also just look at dust, the intro video is just what eve online needs.
Dust is getting it right. Make it complex, have real loss, real tactics, and then make it easy to understand, if someone doesn't get it, they can leave. But don't make it hard for people who might actually like your game. |

But you're clearly wrong because it's coming I just showed you the screenshot of it. All I'm asking is they put cap info on the ship icon instead of the tactical overview. |
