I've heard a lot of people saying you will get no sp from warpoints in corp battles and low/null sec. Can anyone confirm this has actually been said by a dev? Its bad enough that I don't play that often but I will now fall farther behind in sp if I chose to fight in null sec? For the fews years I spent in eve, 90% of the time was spent in nullsec. If this is true, nullsec will be SP free and empire will gain all the SP your cap can handle, I'm done now. This will be the straw that broke the camels back for me. Either active SP for all areas or none at all. |

I think I remember a dev saying that before they had the active SP system because there was some concern that people could exploit the match making system to farm SP. With the new cap, there's no reason not to let people in any game mode in any part of the universe get SP since we all cap out at the same point either way. |

problem with that is u will always have dishonest fucks lookin to cheat the system
so nothing is stoppin 2 allied corps from arranging a "match" in nullsec or FW to just farm SP up faster than everyone else
cap in place or not boosting is boosting. |

Who cares if they boost if nobody else is hit by orbital strikes, no isk is added to economy, and they can't get ahead in sp. If they get weeks sp in 3hr instead of 3 days(if diminishing returns are removed but cap left this would be common). They are just off by themselves risking a ban for no gain.
Better they set up fake match to boost then ruin a match others are trying to play. |

Thx Magneus. And +1 to Ten. People are going to boost regardless so why screw the main playstyle of the game (corp/team play) just because a few people are stupid. You wont stop boosting in high sec so why stop it in any other match. I'm really disappointed with the direction dust is going. Seems to actually be AGAINST what they said this game was about.
*edit* looks like if I do continue to play I wont be joining a corp. Highsec carebears ftw! |
