Unless random spawn points are removed. Every time I load out and buy a suit I spawn in the middle of multiple enemies. Also, how are starter suits better than upgraded ones you spend money on? I load a starter suit I can easily get 5 or 6 kills before dying. I load an upgraded suit with all the bells and whistles and I die as soon as someone thinks about shooting at me. Doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense. The concept of this game is awesome too bad if some major changes aren't made the only people playing will be Eve players who happen to have a ps3. My advice would be to look at other fps games. They do certain things for a reason. Spawning in the middle of your enemies is the fast track way for people to hate this game. |

The only way to solve this It to have spawn points on each side of the map like they do in mag

Or just put protection zones over spawn points. The spawn camping is out of control. This game rewards players for bad behavior. I'm seriously thinking about selling this ps3 which I bought sole for dust and getting an Xbox so I can play some real fps. |

If you mean Tank like a Abaddon, taking on all the flak and criticism and then still put out an amazing game after flying through all the bullshit people keep spewing out, then yes.

1. Don't play ambush. 2. If you do play ambush, use a cheap suit first that has an uplink and drop it in a hidden location if you don't get insta killed. 3. In skirmish, spawn at the back of your base or in the MCC.
Problem solved.
But, I do agree, it's messed up for people that use random spawning. |

It worked in MAG because there's no aerial vehicles. Red lining is main in MAG and it's famous for it.

Agreed, but it only sort of worked in MAG. We red lined enemies more often than not and that's not so good.
They can just fix the random spawn by coding it to A) Always spawn you near a teammate (preferably squad leader) and B) Just don't spawn you there if an enemy is nearby. People will complain "that is what drop uplinks are for", and fair enough, but it doesn't have to do it the whole battle, just the very first spawn of an ambush. After that, if you haven't thought of uplinks, oh well, that's your fault. Also, i've noticed if all squad members press the spawn button at the same time, you typically spawn together or nearby at least. If you trickle into the battle one at a time, you get spawned to whatever random spawn the system has chosen in the cycle at that moment which leaves you each at different points on the map. |

If you think random spawns are bad then you didn't play two builds ago when they had set spawn points on objectives where people can just sit they all day spawning camping ten times worse. I think half of you just aren't that good at this game to overcome spawning and moving around fast enough to dodge the bullets. I think if they put like a 2-3 second timer when you spawn you can't take damage and then after those seconds its game on for everyone by you. |

I disagree. Uplinks should be for tactical spawning, not an in-game work around for spawn-camping. I like the idea of not spawning within x meters of people. I don't think you should spawn with teammates. That IS what uplinks are for.
I got killed earlier today before my screen even finished transitioning :p. I don't think it's as dire as the OP suggests, but it would be a nice change.javascript:__doPostBack('forum$ctl00$Cancel','') |

It was the FPS pro crowd that wanted the starter suits to be the same as the upgraded ones. There isn't an FPS on the planet that gives anyone a gear advantage because all FPS games are about balance. Get some gun game.
Sarcasm and kidding aside, it is ironic that you complain about something that was changed to bring DUST 514 more in line with FPS dogma, then say only EVE players will play the game. Then suggest that DUST should model itself after other FPS games.
The random spawning into a crowd of 5 reds thing is not so good though. That still needs some work. |

i agree that the uplinks are rather vital for establishing a safe spawn point, but it only works if people stick around to protect it. otherwise it is no better than random drops, and maybe more dangerous because the enemy might be watching that uplink.
there should be a reward for people who stick around and defend an uplink. maybe 5 points per safe spawn or something along those lines. |

I love seeing drop uplinks. I get so mad when my teammates kill the enemies drop uplinks, why you would ever remove a source of free kills is beyond me >_< |

Hmm, never had that problem. All it takes is one or two guys with an AR watching out while you sit there with a shotgun waiting for your SP to drop in and say hi. ^_^
To be fair, that's less important in Skirmish and I can see why you'd want to clear them out. In ambush though, let the bodies fall into my meat grinder please |

It wouldn't hurt for CCP to add that option in the next build. Besides, we have enough time to add up ideas like that until next year. |

@DON RODIE II It would still have the same problem because of all the maps in DUST are really crowded. They would just droppod next to eachother or on roofs of the buildings. |
