If you are the kind of player that will set targets and at least attempts to lead your team when you are in game post here. That way anyone that doesn't plan on being in a corp can find squadmates that will support one another. I for one will try to lead my squad to the best of my abilities and hope to see a few of you ingame fighting along side me. |

Always willing to lead a squad as properly and productively as possible. Also willing to teach those not yet comfortable with leadership. No shame in asking for help. You can find me in channel: PXRXO |

The only order I give is defend order on myself or another team mate. They need to figure out a way to reward points for other kinds of orders, and they need to make attack orders easier to assign. I'd rather just tell my team where to go then waste time setting a rally order that won't net us any extra points. |

Its easy enough to set defend order on a team member or yourself and just use comms to call out targets.
They should lower the sp for defend and raise it for capture. |

I have started taking more effort to try and give orders when I find myself leading. Some times it goes well, others not so much. Had a great game last night with a bunch of randoms on the volcanic map, they stuck together, waited for orders and covered me whilst I was setting it up, before immediately moving to carry them out, rallied after deaths, etc. All without mics. I should have paid more attention to their names now. I think we were fighting a squad from WTF and we won (though WTF eventually got redlined and started hitting back hard with Precisions).
I need to get more adept at quickly setting orders up without going to the map though, it's a bit fiddly right now. |

How do you put it on yourself? I tried holding R1 and aiming at nothing for a bit after I selected defend, hoping it would just default to me, but no luck. I tried aiming at the ground directly at my feet, but apparently I don't have legs, and no luck.
Also for those of you reading this who become squad leader (press Select and check "Squad" list) and don't know how to set commands:
Press and hold R2 (like you're switching weapons). Press down on the R-stick (also know as R3) and scroll around until you find what you want. Aim at an objective that can support what you're trying to do (for example you can't select Defend for a hostile Null cannon point). Press R1 at the point when the box appears, like you're firing at it. |

Down arrow, select target, pop R3 (not in game, so may be L3?) also works for setting commands. That method starts out with the marker on you.
And I'm always up to lead. I hate getting dropped into a squad and seeing the SL doing absolutely nothing with the group except wasting the unused OBs. |

I try my best to give orders and support my team mates. At worst in a skirmish I'll throw a defend order on a capture point so some of us get the bonus. Or in assault I'll call in a LAV, throw a defend on that and set up a mini base with a spawner and nanohive.
I do have a mix and try to communicate, sometimes it works.
My K/D is not the greatest but I am usually in the top 5 on my side due to WP. I may not be the one to shoot you in the face but ill help my team do it.
Oh and i usually have a militia dropship fitting handy in case the map is bigger. |

I'll look for all of you in game. If I'm not leader and I'm in your squad i'm a beginning logi with a load outs for nano, drop links repairs. I'm an equally good follower as I am a leader. Lets keep the thread alive for the non corp mercs looking for squadmates. |
