Is this a thing? Researching and inventing Tech II or III items for Dust in EVE? Forgive me if this has already been discussed. |

haven't seen discussion to much about that.
Dust will have no manufacturing at all. goal is for all dust items, weapons, vehicles, etc ... to be manufactured and sold by Eve players ... so I doubt we shall be the ones doing research. That will be for Eve players mainly. |

But, it's a possibility that EVE players can research things for the ground troops? That would be awesome. I just started playing EVE and I'm guessing that trying to get into Dust invention will be easier than trying to get into EVE invention.
Although, considering how powerful mercs are now, I can't imagine what power a merc with Tech 2/3 stuff would be. |

hmm ... I've never tried Eve more then just the trial time but I'd guess it would depend on what would be manufactured. Vehicles and tanks probably more costly then weapons, and as for lvl's probably would tier to weapon class and such, lvl 5 would allow to create prototype weapons I'm guessing, but who knows.
From the look of it, we may not see true Eve - Dust connectivity until late this year when. Even after release (if this year) CCP will take very slow steps in the integration |

Although, it would be interesting for Dusters to be able to manufacture, but only if the corp or alliance has captured, say, a manufacturing or industrial district to take advantage of.

CCP speculated during Fanfest that eventually EVE players might be making stuff for Dust players and vice-versa. They even went so far as to suggest that there might be things Dust players can provide EVE players with which are otherwise unavailable to EVE players. Obviously at this point it's all speculative, but at the very least they were thinking about having the two games relate to one-another fairly strongly in that sense. |
