Gonna keep this short
1. 8v8 for big maps.....bump that up. I kno ur only testing now cuz alot of corps might ot be able to field more than 8 regularly thats kool but it needs to go up soon.
2. Lag lag LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG............fix it
3. Add an ingame clock plz. Kinda annoying to have to be converting time constantly just add a clock to match the tz the contracts say so at 1st glance we can simply see...."oh kool match in 30mins or 3hrs"
4. winning or losing.......no real consequence other than losing collateral i know this is just testing but would b nice if we got the full FW experience soon. and by that i mean being able to view the FW systems and see who in control and districts on a planet and see who owns them etc
thats all for now.

FYI, "lag" is poor feedback, should differentiate between framerate drops and network lag depending on which one you mean, and also explain where they happen if there's a common occurrence, such as the occasional awful framerate on the 5 objective map (while I didn't get this on the corp battle I played in, I believe 2-3 or more members on my team did, as did some others on the other team, it seems to be a common problem with that map in general and not isolated to just corp battles).
As for feedback -
The map is too big for the player count. We need a smaller one definitely, 3 points, *maybe* 4 if it's smallish like plateaus, but that'd be stretching things a bit. I don't think you should be able to have one squad per objective, but you should be able to contest more than half the points if you assign a full squad to each.
I'd love an in-game clock as well. I see it at the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and stays visible when the neocom and battle finder are up, so you can compare current time to battle starting time. I don't like having to look around for my phone all the time, or pulling up the XMB.
Other than that, I'd like to see the ability to join into the game before the starting time. It doesn't feel like a starting time, but rather a "when the waiting room opens" time. It feels weird. It'd be nice to join in beforehand and make sure everyone is error-free before we're worried about the timer ticking down.
I'd also like to see a ready-up option for both teams, so we can skip the rest of the 10 minute countdown if we're all set to go.
I didn't really have much of an issue with anything else in the one I've played so far. It seemed to function like every other battle does, except with specific teams. Nothing out of the ordinary that wouldn't happen in non-corp battles. |

1. Really? That's it? Especially on larger maps, i'd feel lonely. And i'm a lone wolf!
2. Agree with Tiel, "lag" is far too general.
3. EVE has an in-game clock set to Icelandic time, so i'm surprised that DUST doesn't have the same. If it's in already, it needs to be more obvious. If not, it needs to be as it is critical to full EVE-DUST strategic play.
4. Because simply, it's still a beta. The contract system in EVE is very open-ended, allowing a good merc corp to rake in *Dr. Evil* billions of ISK. You will have your chance to sate your greed. Soon(TM). |

When he says "lag" he means the terrible framerate drops on the 5 objective Skirmish maps. The corp battle we played last night was on one of those maps.
Here's something I experienced in that battle. When Mavado drove me to the center area of the map(that has the urban-like compound where B and C are) when we got there, the compound hadn't even loaded up yet and I could barely move my character. Took me about a full minute to slowly move back to the entrance of the compound(thankfully which was about 15m away from where we hopped out the LAV) where the map was fully loaded for the rest of the compound to finally load up and allow me to move normally.
The framerate definitely needs improvement on those maps. That's detrimental to my team in a corp battle if I have to slowly crawl my character backwards for a full minute when we're about to jump into the heat of battle and it could possibly cost me a unnecessary death.
Also during that game, 2 of my corp members said that they randomly fell through the map and their character just kept falling and falling and eventually they had to suicide and spawn in again.
So if we're doing 8v8 for now, maps need to be 3 objective maps(maybe 4). I think 5 is pushing it too much with only 8 guys and the terrible framerate and in-game structures slowly loading.
There's my 2 cents. Hope these changes come soon. |
