The way the system works currently is that every day from the 1st day of the week (tuesday was what CCP decided), you get less SP. If you play on the last day and haven't played at all that week, you'll get the lowest SP possible for X amount of warpoints for someone who didn't reach the skillpoint cap.
What I propose is that you should start off getting a high amount of SP based on X amount of warpoints and as you get closer to the weekly SP cap, you'll get less SP for X amount of warpoints. Then at the start of the week, this process will restart.
This plan will benefit both hardcore and casual gamers and keep SP gains balanced with EVE online. |

This would also make people have more of an incentive to play all week. I don't want to play as much during a sunday or monday if I'm not going to get much skillpoints, especially if I haven't played at all the previous week. |

Yes. If the current system is global and arbitrary it doesn't make sense.
Could also have the diminishing returns clock start on a per character basis. and have it automatically re-set if you at least a few days off.

Sorry, but I have no idea what you were trying to say with that last part of your post. The system I'm suggesting would be related to how close you are to the skill cap and how much warpoints you earned. It wouldn't be related to time other than the process would reset on one day. This way it doesn't penalize you for playing on a particular day or give you less rewards just because some time has past since the last time you got SP. |

Weekly SP should be relative to when the player starts playing, and not because of an arbitrary day of the week. Some people can only play around on weekends, and having the SP be low on those days regardless of whether the player played earlier or not is unfair. |

I think it being based on the weekly cap, not relative to when the player starts playing. It's more fair that way. Your plan suggest that if I played 1 match on one day and played another match 5 days later, I would be getting a lot less SP because of the gap in days. |

uhh, This thread doesn't make sense. The current cap is based on how many skill points you make during the week. The closer to the skill point cap you get, the fewer skill points you earn, until you hit the cap, and then you earn 0 SP per game.
so if you don't play all week, then jump on sunday or monday, you'll get just as much SP as everyone else got on tuesday when the timer reset. |

That's not true, there's also more diminishing returns based on what day it is. If you jump on sunday or monday you'll get less SP then people who go on before you since it resets on tuesday and gives you less every day past that. |

yesterday I jumped on with my alt and made well over 20,000 SP in one game. thats more than I got with my main on tuesday. |

What is the basis of the SP Cap? I just ran a ambush encounter Wensday morning at 5:20 EST. I got all of 3k SP and 70k isk. That doesnt cover the Suit replacement costs for one suit. much less make isk to buy more stuff.
So What are the cap limits with and without the boosters. cause buying a booster now is an absolute waste of money. |
