I have a friend I want to team up with, we can send each other messages, but whenever I send an invite from my spaceship live in area he never gets them and they dont show up in my sent messages. A step by step guide would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Press select, go to the Squad tab, create a squad, select an empty spot in the squad, send an invite from there, your friend can't be in a squad of his own at the time or he won't receive the invite.
If he still doesn't get the invite after a couple attempts, have him try to invite you (after you leave your squad). Some people seem kinda bugged and can't invite certain people for some reason. |

Yea, I did that, tried the squad menu and then after that I made a squad name and invited him to that but no luck. |

Try letting him invite you, and if not, then make sure you both aren't doing anything before you invite. |

We did that, it wont work. Should a message be received or in your mail box either way? Because no message ever is. |

This.
One must be out of a squad, the other must create the squad and send the invite in the way mentioned in a previous post. The receiver will get a notification flashing which he goes up to and clicks on it to accept. Now go to squad in the menu and you should be in one together.
If for some reason this does not work and you are sure you have tried properly, here's a possible work-around. One guy make a squad, the other does not. Use a chat channel to countdown deployment. 3, 2, 1 GO. On "GO" , you both join a battle. With any luck you'll be placed into the same battle. With more luck, you'll be on the same team. The guy without a squad will go to the team menu and find his friend who does have a squad. Select an empty slot on his squad and choose "move to this squad". Now you are squaded up together. When the battle is finished and you both return to your Merc Quarters, or your "spaceship live in area" as you call it, you should still be in a squad together.
Good luck.
Be sure to make a bug report if you don't get it figured out. |

Also, neither of you can be in a match while sending the invite. You should both be in your room, just hit select, go to squad, create a squad, and when you see your name, go over to the box bellow your name.
Then invite your friend, he needs to be on your contact list in order to receive the invite. Send the invite, and he should get a flashing message in the notifications box, and he just need to click accept on the message. After that you should be up and running.
If it doesn't work, it is possible that you both may need to restart your client, and try again. A lot of the issues that are had with squad, seem to be with mics usually, and this same method will fix a mic. Most the times you just need to restart the client.
Cheers
