I really think they need to sort out the framerate lag before they worry about adding more players. But more would be good, down the track. |

That is double-edged sword.
The more players there are, sure the problems compound and come more prominant but if we are completely unable to play and test things due to horrendously low fps issues and lag etc. then whats the point. By testing with lower numbers there are some kinks and fps/lag issues are present but not so much so that all of us stop playeing because of it. |

It's all about net code and optimizing. I think when PS4 comes out we'll be able to see stable games running with 256 or higher players. The graphics on a high end PC for this game are phenomenal, so it's exciting to see what we'll get for the PS4. |

its been said that if they can they will increase it. not to many games on console support numbers bigger than 32, there's a few who do but sacrifice graphics or something to achieve it. if and when the ps4 drops (2015ish?) we could see a major increase by then to numbers around or larger than 64 if hardware specs can handle them. |

Yes it is.
My clan was used to test a clan deploy system on MAG that supported well over 32 players at one time due to our size.
Internal testing is the first part, but then at some point they will have to "go live" and test it on the live server. It is at that point that we as beta testers will get to help CCP by testing it.

i hate bringing it up, but it's the best comparison... just look at MAG right now. barely 1000 people on at any give time (and that was the last time i played like 2 months ago), and you could almost NEVER get into the 256 player Domination maps, let alone the 128 player Acquisition maps.
also, sisi is having enough problems dealing with 32 people on a map right now (especially in the 5 point maps). i'm sure we'll see bigger groups when we move to TQ. |

CCP did say they would like see such high number of players, but they also said they will do things one step at a time. They are new to the fps market after since they are an mmo company. |

though i have been on hiatus far longer than 2 months, its never been hard to get an Aquisition match going it would be your standard queue for any typical game. most ppl saw numbers in a game so they added it to multi-queue or they just straight queued for the game, domo on another hand at most would take 2hrs to queue for a game.
2 reasons i havnt picked it back up, community died and game quality deteriorated |

yes, this is a beta, which is why i don't mind 16 vs 16 and all the bugs. my guess, and this is pure speculation, is that if this build goes good, we'll...
1) be open beta (and TQ) by the beginning of November, and if that goes well...
2) released sometime in December as promised 4th quarter 2012.
my only real question is, will we be wiped when we move to TQ and open beta? i know we'll be wiped before the release. |
