I know that the spamming of precision strikes has come up before but the real problem is that when you have 4-5 guys on a team farming WP , they get the bigger slice of the Isk and SP at the end of the round. I can no longer afford to use anything but the starter fits because I am not getting enough return in a round to afford such things.
Before all the newb and suxxor comments start. I am not #1 player but my Kill/Death ration is around 1.1 on average. But where I have 10 kills and 8 deaths, that yields 600 or so WP. Well at the end of the round I see 4-5 guys with 3000+ WP but under 15 kills that means they are farming. This makes my slice of loot pie is very small and I can no longer level skills or buy equipment.
Please respond in comments if this sounds true to anyone.

This is a beta, you can stop these people from killing Dust before it launches and make this game what it should be.
If the top 10% of players are forming 90% of the money and SP you will end up with many people walking away, with a bad taste in their mouths, never to return.

Looks like you need to play the objective, and use squad orders. I'm on of those 3kWP players on occasion and it's not boosting my friend. |

I'm still on my militia gears. I recently upgraded my AR to GEK Assault Rifle. I die less if I fight along side with squads. Getting assist kills is better than dying. Be a Squad leader, put "Defend" order onto yourself or one of your guys, then follow it, you'll get handsomely rewarded. |

To clarify:
Yes I can get more WP with squads and orders, no argument here! But in cases of the 4-5 guys all being in the same player corp it starts to look fishy.

That my friend is a very good point, and probably one of the best reasons for stopping these boosters. |

How is that wrong, being in the same corp? Being in a corp, and working together in a squad and using the WP system with capture/defend orders to take objectives is how it's setup to be played. It's not fishy or boosting, it's playing the game. A corp squad repping a LAV they are bashing into walls in the safe area, yeah that's boosting. |

If you didn't see them the entire game and they have like 0kills and 10,000WP yeah it's safe to assume that they are infact boosting, and i run with my corp mates in a squad all the time so there's nothing "fishy" about that.
To get a OB is only 1250WP, you get 125 a kill with defend order and 75 goes to you're squad leader and it all adds up so it's not very hard at all to get 4 or 5 OB in a match and that's if you're just doing average. |

Few posters missed the OP'ers point while staring at the examplatory numbers:
Boosters, on either side, A) Get a lot of SP B) Get a lot of kills (which motivate a lot of people btw) C) Deny their opponent even the isk which is calculated from destroyed isk value by opponents hand
But, I'm still SOOOO happy that boosters showed their hand at the beta stage, thank you, you did what testers are supposed to do...! Find the flaws of the game. =) |
