Dust vehicles have the worst traction since someone decided to drive on ice, on steel rims. True, if you go full throttle on the speeder, it should be harder, but still, it is ridiculous. And they go flying if they hit even minor bumps in the terrain. Tanks are nearly impossible to aim if they are moving. Look at present day tanks, they can go full tilt (faster than DUST tanks even) over rough terrain, and still be able to aim with a fair degree of accuracy.
And there comes my biggest gripe with DUST vehicles for now. Even a minor bump sets the screen spiralling out of control, with a wild "shake", so bad that it is 50% of the reason I'm no longer really skilling for vehicles. (The other 50% is that they are just too damned vulnerable for their cost). Vehicle shakes give me migraines. I'm not exaggerating here, I have these, or had when I were a teenager. Dust brought them back. |

Agreed. Suspension seems to have become obsolete in the future. Tanks aren't difficult to aim while moving. They're difficult no to crash while firing though :P (same coin, other side). |

low gravity? Thats what I figured anyway, be cool if different maps felt different in that respect. Feels like they're on the moon, but a Ford Raptor suspension vs the the Ferrari or something nicer than what looks like halo style tanks would be nice.
M1 Tanks can compensate to an extent but that's with the help of all kinds of guidance, not just fire from the scope, the M1s can actually fire at things they don't personally see but another tank has scoped. Neat stuff.
It would be nice to have some lock-on features that would compensate for you, this would also increase the range at which tank battles would occur and you could prioritize multiple targets, the mechanism isn't new, thats how EVE works.
Going to plea ignorance, do they have a Main Gun and a "for the soft stuff" chaingun/rapid laser? I ask because it would be neat if the main gun would inflict shield damage or a concussion effect to close by infantry as it went off. Haven't been in to many battles with tanks.
