Can we please get a notification when the Squad Leader position changes; if nothing else, when it changes to yourself.
I can't even count the number of times I have been made SL and had no idea I was squad leader. Typically, I check at the beginning of the match, but I shouldn't have to check every 5 minutes to see if my SL ditched us / dc'd mid battle or not. There should be some notification or indication outside of chat that you are the SL.
Case in point: Last night was in a skirmish match. At first we were winning (holding all 4 points), then somehow, we lost all 4 points really fast. As well, we were having trouble getting them back and looked like we would lose the match. Well a squad mate and I hopped into Team Chat where a couple others also had mics and we started coordinating attacks. Well we get an Precision Strike available. Squad mate and I are trying to tell our SL were to put it. Come to find out, he had ditched us (as we were losing) and I had been made SL.
It would have been nice to know I was SL so I could have been marking objectives and whatnot for my Squad Mates. I'm sure they were probably wondering why I wasn't marking objectives or calling in the PS we got, but of course, I had no idea I was SL either.
Even if it were just a current list of Squad members in the HUD overlay (like underneath the Kill ticker) that would only show squad members and who was SL.. or even just something telling you who your squad leader was (maybe underneath the mini-map) which would be updated if SL changed. or even if I was just notified I was now SL that would work. But we need something.

Seriously, there has got to be some sort of indicator if you are squad leader when the match first starts. Especially for new players that don't even know what a squad leader is or what you should do. There needs to, at least, be a notification that pops up for 5 seconds that says, "You are the designated Squad Leader." Or something to that effect, please? =) |

Yeah, there has to be some way for them to be able to notify you. Even if the computer voice says "you are now squad leader." that's better than nothing. |
