I seriously enjoy Dust514 so far.
But I'm a family man and I don't get to play as much as I'd like. On good weeks I can probably pull off 4-8 hours total, and that's on good weeks.
Yesterday I logged in 3 hours. I consider myself a fairly apt FPS player, and I average 7-10 kills per game (played a mix of Ambush and Skirmish games).
Yet it seemed no matter how many acts of valor I did, hacking points, kills, assists, I was only able to average about 8,000 SP per game (without a booster of course).
It seems to me like it's going to take an awful lot of time to get anywhere in the game at that rate.
SOLUTION:
To better cater to casual players, I feel like the SP you get for each action you do (kill, assist or else) should be indexed according to how many SP you have to date.
For example, If you're just starting out in the game, your actions are worth more SP. You can climb up to a comfortable point faster.
As your total SP increases, the yield per rewardable action could be diminished by a relevant percentage.
This would help ease in people starting out in the game, and then once they join corporations, build their own and get in the good graces of EvE corps, they could start to fly on their own.
Plus, no SP caps GÇö just less payout on each of your actions if you've been farming for a whole year. If you're highly skilled and still want to farm, you'll have to spend even more hours into it GÇö up to the point where you have no life.

Well...that it takes long to get to the top of the skill tree is intended. You always have something to strive for, you don't reach the top after a week and then get bored.
Staged SP gain is kinda pointless...the SP needed to level up are already making sure, that you earn new skills fast early on, while getting them slower as you try to learn higher skill levels. Having both doesn't add much. |

I understand your plight. I only get 2 maybe 3 days to play so with the change from a weekly cap to a daily cap it greatly hinders my sp gain potential. Im not certain anything will be done due to the fact that the majority get on every day. I do feel as thou a daily sp can hinders the casual player but is better for ppl who play all week |
