They ain't bad, but they're not awesome either. |

This graphics needs in detail, these graphics need 1080p resolution, or the ability to choose between the 720 or 1080p.
as well as a third-person really would not hurt |

as well as a third-person really would not hurt You kidding? TPS is such an advantage over FPS, you can't have both. I'd rather play Dust in first person anyway. |

It is so beautiful when you cuddle face to the wall and see a HUGE blurred pixels, but it's cool in the game in the first person ....! |

I know a lot of you PC dudes want consoles to die, but it's not going to happen. Why do you think EVE and Dust 514 is connecting together? Because they might as well because pc and consoles are not going anywhere. Well the playstation, pc, and the mac that is.... |

I have a PC and PS3, and I love to play them the same, but the PS3 is weaker graphics worse, and to hide these shortcomings need to let people that they should not dwell on this, for example, who do not like to look at the huge pixels let played from a third person, who still let them play from the first. Also, with the resolution of the screen should be a choice. How many people - so many opinions.
Edit: And I think many would have been nice to see his character, to see how he moves. I'm a very long time in the game where then 18 years old, and I am pleased to play a first-person and on the third, but still the third person of benefits more as less visible pixels. Yes, the first person more real or something, but this is not reality, this is a game, and the game has a choice. |

Killzone 3 and Uncharted 3 is the best games I saw graphically on any system even the pc. It is probably time for the ps4 though as far as getting 60 fps and more players etc, but don't act like the ps3 is horrible. lol the pc will always have more graphics. Everyone already know this. |

Now we only have the PS3, PS4 will not be soon. Just need a choice of graphics quality, resolution, and choose from any person to play. |

Graphics Setup for the game would be nice. But right now the Resolution has definitely been reduced to allow the activation of the shaders and the mood layers. |

This is EVE from 2003...
...and this is EVE currently.
CCP is pretty dedicated to the graphics, to the point of replacing models, textures, effects, graphical systems, even graphic engines, every so many years.
DUST is currently limited by the PS3 and the programming knowledge of the devs interfacing with the unique requirements of developing the game for the PS3 hardware. During the beta we've seen a vast improvement to graphics, and we will continue to see improvements, because you know, it's a beta, this is one of the major testing points of a beta. Eventually near release we'll probably see a nice compromise between graphics and performance... just like EVE Online (as seen in the crucible trailer, engine trailers are back because they were too much of a performance strain, until they completely redid the system behind them). |

Of course, things will change before release, I hope. But personally, I try to discuss some of the most troubling aspects of the game. Personally, I wish that it were best Sci-Fi game.
It's just a game, but it has become part of life. |

Real gamers don't care about graphics they care about the game play graphics are good but not that important cod for an example doesn't have good graphics but the game play is good stable and it runs smooth.
Just my opinion!!!! Thank you |

some ps3 games look really great if you consider this.
btw you can expect the ps4 in the beginning of 2014. |

The graphics are even better when running off an SSD, with textures getting to the optimal LOD much quicker. |

I think they should build around their color pelleting... or possibly give the mercs some camoflague appearance, that way they wont POP on screen....
Color palleting is about using colors that essentially can fit inside of the game... This is wear they use color tones and hues that all fit inside of the game world and using shaders and maskings and even particle engine elements inside the same.
Thats the only real problem I think is with the graphics now, is that you can see players stand out. There is numerous ways to do that too... They can either sandbox the skins to render in specific organization of planet to texture... So on the sand bright red planet... Everything would have orange / brown hint to in its shading hue. On the gray planet they should have a very gray appearance....
Numerous ways to do it... Sandboxing isn't the only way... You can also change the parent light settings.. So that in game world color... Masks the objects illumination.
Other thn that miniscule of a problem... The game looks out standing. This is what their second build of the game engine... They should can the chat for only merc quarters only... It would free up some resources, but besides that... the game will have some outstanding complexity to it. |

Rasatsu wrote:The graphics are even better when running off an SSD, with textures getting to the optimal LOD much quicker. wrong.
- the OS does not support SSD, it will tear the SSD out, in the end you will end with a much slower hard drive - the motherboard is not made to utilize the extra speed
in short, the gain is marginal and only in the beginning of the SSD installation. over a few weeks of usage the SSD will be teared out. |

I've been doing heavy-duty BitTorrent development for almost a decade now, which includes quite a lot of work on optimising disk related stuff.
You are wrong in ways that would take too much effort to explain here.
Also DUST is, will end up, as the type of game that will benefit the most from having an SSD. |

ps3 is a hardware from 2006, thats true. back in 2006 it wasnt fully programmeble. later on, after several firmware updates, the ps3 gets more pipelines open for better graphic. the ps3 today, isnt the ps3 back in 2006 dude. |
