Any one else feel like the points change hands to often? You never get that epic battle for control of one point, you get every one just running in circles capturing points and moving to the next one. This also seems like a bigger problem on maps with 5 points, maybe thats the problem?
Maybe the maps are to big for the number of people playing and the problem will solve itself when and if we get more people in one game?
Then there is also it could be that there is no incentive to stay and guard a point?
So what do you think, please discuss. |

It's odd, one of the other overarching complaints about Codex is the change in movement making the gun game less about bunny hopping and dodging and more about setting up tactical positions with cover and support (camping for the bunny crowd).
I would expect to see more 'fixed' or immobile defense of positions if this is truly the case.
Perhaps those strategies will evolve over the short term...
With a team of 15-16 deploying from one or two spots, a sound tactic may be to roll out as a big group but leave 2-3 mercs at each captured obj to hold it. Capture three objectives this way and your team still has a FRF ( fast react force) to recap, reinforce and push enemy positions.
We just have to get good at having 2-3 guys hold an objective in a defensive manner.
I like change. But it scares people. A lot |

Part of the reason is that you can no longer spawn at objectives once they are hacked (and before the hack is complete). This means that the other team has to rush from other objectives instead of spawning there. CCP needs to fix this. |

Well, since you can't spawn at a point that has a virus uploaded, fights are over quicker and small teams can successfully assault an objective, while the bulk of the team is somewhere else, fighting for another point. The frequency is also dependent on the number of objectives on the map. On the 5 objectives maps the points are capped way more often than on the 3 objectives map, since it is easier to defend 3 points than 5.

Now you need only a squad to cap an objective, not an army. |

I would love to be able to comment on this. Since I have only been able to get in crappy ambush games, I can't. |

I didn't say it was a bug only that it needed to be fixed. I view it as a broken mechanic and it has taken a lot away from the combat. I prefer larger fights, though I do better in smaller battles. |

It is my opinion that enemies not spawning at null canons your team controls is a good thing!
I just fought and died to win control of that canon; don't let reds spawn back on it by choice
The solution is drop uplinks
Whenever you capture a point or installation that you want to defend and retain, it is wise to drop an uplink somewhere close and out of sight.
This way, when the reds retake control your reinforcements have a fast way to get back there to regain the position
Uplinks are the answer.
To just about everything in life.
Except kittens
Mass drivers are the solution to kittens
When they see uplinks they just purr {shudder} |
