This is my suggestion to CCP to help them get rid of some of the boosting.
1) Any vehicle not damaged by enemy fire for the last minute or two doesn't give any WP/SP. and finally 2) You don't get WP/SP for repairing MCC.
Relatively easy to program, and shouldn't be a resource heavy way of doing it either.
I will post this same post in the feedback thread, but since most people come here I thought this would be the best place for a discussion about it. |

How about they just make it so that self-inflicted/crash damage doesn't reward points when repaired? Simple. Fixes all our problems. |

Wait...why shouldn't you get repair points for repping the MCC. This helps your team stay in the battle longer if you are loosing and helps incase the enemy starts to turn in arround in case you are winning. Either way this is good for your team. I really don't see why this shouldn't be rewarded.
Now as the the ammount of reward that is debatable. I have friends reproting getting 200k+ sp doing this in the last build that is a bit excessive. 60k sp I would be okay with though. |

The problem is, how do you program this?
And not getting SP for repping the MCC is fine in my book, since what you repair on the MCC is just a drop in the water of their armour anyway.
Having some programming experience myself, I think this is an easy and simple way of fixing it, because getting orbital strikes on your head every minute because some cowards are in their base exploiting the system is ruining the game for everyone. |

Have two HP trackers per vehicle, one for self inflicted and one for enemy inflicted. Add them for the total damage (this is the only number the player sees). Repairs only grant WP for enemy inflicted damage healing. |

Ah, I like that sollution Null! Also easy to program and works even better. No need for a timer. |

2 dropship outfitted with 4x remote reppers each can effectively tank one null cannon. Y is this not a viable strategy? It is helping your team win. |

Fair enough Jarre, but since this is a game and it's about playing, not about having everything 100% "realistic" I think SP for repairing like that should go. My personal opinion. By all means, I have no problem with people repairing the MCC, as long as it doesn't give them an orbital strike every minute. |

Right, you can still repair the MCC, it will still give you isk and sp. But not warpoints, no active points usable for Orbitals.
Seriously, it's messed up seeing people get 5000 warpoints in a match and 26 kills, 1 death. |

Say, you repair half, or perhaps a quarter, of the MCC's total health and you get 50/100 WP. |

I doubt you could repair half of that with your repair tool. |

It was a serious suggestion. And as a person who posted after me stated you can quite effectively rep the MCC with four remote repping tools on a dropship. It still takes considerable skill to pilot the dropship in a way that does not cancel the rep. since the area where repping is even possible on the MCC is so small (edit: and the MCC moves about a bit). This is not just mindless crashing into a wall. This is precision flying with a dedicated repair dropship and there are risks involved since people can still swarm/forge you.
Making MCC repping useful while limiting the resulting SP gain (like I said 200k+ sp in a match is not reasonable) is going to be the trick for CCP.
Think about it this way. Your corp had to pay for the MCC. Shouldn't your corp try to keep it alive by any means possible? |
