ok so since the patch my roommate gets no visuals on his old ass fridge sized HD tv
now the difference between his and mine is his is 1080i and mine is 1080P we have been rinning through for an hour now trying to get dust to come on , is there a known issue about this sort of thing ? or is soemthing wrong with his tv/ps3 |

it went black and white on me for the precusor build due to me not having a HDtv
codex build is working fine color etc
im asuming u messed with the ps3 display config?
reset back to default? |

well it works with any other game BUT dust the intro video will play and then the screen goes black and nothing, loses signal to the tv |

TV sets.. are not compare to CRT monitors... Someting different (frequency, resolutions) and they give up.
My CRT TV set is ok by HDMI (wow CRT with HDMI :) I got my 720p and i'm happy....
In technical 720p and 1080i .... are uses almost same bandwich and look almost identical to the ... user.
Up to you what you select. Just try :) |

Try this.
Okay, let me share the education that I got the other day.
1. If a game supports 1080P, it will play in 1080P.......if you follow these steps.
1. You need to setup your display settings on custom, with everything de-selected except for 1080P and 480P.
2. The game will play in 1080P and look a lot better and of course be more awesome. For some reason the Playstation pretty much plays everything at 720P for the most part, if your display settings are set to automatic. The only downfall of this is the fact if a game doesn't support 1080P then you have to go back and change your display settings. Which sucks. THIS IS A PLAYSTATION ISSUE NOT A CCP ISSUE.
With that said, to the original poster, if you have never done this, then you have always played dust in 720P. It sounds like you got a bad download or something.
To everyone else, if you didn't know this, try it with all your games, I do believe you all will be very happy. |
