Ok i need clarification on why you guys creating a temp Corp when you have a main one in EVE?
I know EVE players can't access SiSi currently to accept your new members but i heard from people here that EVE players will be able to log in SiSi this week and accept, there source was Devs on IRC.
If you aware of that, what is you reason in creating a temp corp when soon your main corp will be able to accept apps? Is the upcoming corp battles are only for user-created corps on this beta only? I feel am missing something
Thanks in advance |

You have them set up in eve but you cant log onto sisi to accept people or to make a dust player a director of the corp. |

Corps get their own channel. You can see which of your friends are online and talk in a corp channel without having to setup another channel and promulgate the channel name to everyone. It just makes it much easier to group and stuff. And considering the next build is at least a month away, why would you not? What do you have to lose by creating a temporary corp? 1.6 million ISK? Big deal.
Also, it let's us tell the world how badass we are. Morbidly obese, diabetic badasses who are wheelchair-bound and are unfamiliar with the contours of their own genitals. Space infantry. Immortal. Immobile. |

You guys are not understand his question. He is asking why some have created a temporary corp and an EVE corp. Since if you apply to the corp that you created in eve you cannot log on and accept applications on sisi as of right now, but should be able to by the end of the week. |

Once again, what do you have to lose by making the corp now? What if CCP's estimate is incorrect? What do you have to lose? |

Nothing, you loose nothing, just didn't make sense for some people to make both an eve and a dust corp. I think the best option was to make your dust corp unless you already have a large EVE corp already in place. I think most Dust corps dont have a large supply of pilots who would be willing to hop into it anyway. So having a dust merc be the CEO for now makes sense, but in reality having a pilot CEO will be easier in the end because the UI is better on eve than it currently is in Dust.
I'm not saying one side or the other is wrong, i just feel that some people are confused about the mechanics right now, and that the OP had a good question which was being missunderstood. |

its not about ISK or SP! if CCP let us into SiSi this week then we will be in our main corps having the same feature you talked about above while you guys will have to abandon your temp corp and join the main one. I asked because i thought there was something to test on the corp feature or maybe the corp battle on this beta are only for user-created corps or something like that. |

Well besides the fact that the corp creation and management within dust needs testing. It really isn't a big deal to switch to another corp when they open sisi back up to EVE players as well. Plus there are aspects of that interaction that will need testing as well, such as what happens when a corp created in dust adds and eve player and promotes them to CEO. |

in a way they gain one thing.
they gain a corp in the eve universe, a placeholder for when dust goes live into the eve universe. the corp name, the corp ticker is taken its set in stone. means nobody else can steal it for themselves.

We've actually found several bugs by creating a corp.... like the bug where even if the CEO levels up all of his corp skills it still only seems to let in 11 players... (that's kind of a big, creepy looking, bug) |

No, everyone stop. There's no point playing. When it goes on tq there's going to be a skill wipe you know. Why are you playing the game in beta. Everyone should wait till a polished version launches, beta is only for looking at! |
