so i'm back again been on a month break from dust and the problems with last build (invalids/dead server etc etc)
logged in loaded up Tami and took a first peek.
1> give me a choice to turn of those annoying hints and tips ( i am pro not a newbie !!! )
so yeah there i am with around 350k sp a mill or so in isk and some stock gear. join a match and ohhhh yeah that freaking AMBUSH, gah so i muddle on. take a high'ish part of ground, scope in and guess what, the maps been changed. what was un uncovered fight arena is now a covered arena. sniping became useless. game ended 0/0 and around 6,000 sp.
2> Gah how many times CCP stop forcing people to test this faulty battlefinder, (98% ambush / 2% the other) We want to choose our own fights to our own location or lag needs.
3> and again i am bombarded with newbie help and hints, now its becoming a joke, i want control total control over them, i mean a big tab saying " TURN OF HINTS"
so only a very short time playing (40 mins max) , but a marked improvement to the other. skilling is a more balanced affair, sp gain is kinda hmmmm fluffy ( cant put my finger on it). More Depth of field and field of view would be nice with sniper scopes, and proximity map needs tweeking, enemy right beside me was not showing up,
so yup there we go it aint as bad as some make out. a few niggles but overall a damn sight better than last build.

According to the patch notes you can select your own game mode. Although it seems difficult to figure out at the moment. |

yup tbh i cannot really fault it, some minor niggles here and there.
merc quarters avatar is somewhat lower res, looks dirty and unfinished ( caldari suited avatar : see left) the skills sp gain is somewhat hmmm i cant put a finger on it, its not bad but it just does not feel right to me.
proximity map should give a readout to distance, not hmm shall we show this red or not ?. needs defining more something like a short radius boost and then a falloff the more distant an enemy is.
Lag i can live with it just means aiming is more refined and needs some thinking ahead. the defined players (sinpers) is alot better you can now tell if a player is covered or not. their outline is more defined when perching high on the horizon.
Am sure a few will flame me, some will like me and others will go see for themselves. maybe those moaning should take a leaf from my book and take a short break. come back with a fresh mind and outlook. |

You know you always have the other free suits to use if sniper is a no go for the map, no need to despair :). It still works well in other places, just gotto get a move on.
Agreed on the remove tooltips, all in good time I'm sure. |

Its not bad, but the way they talked it up I expected more. What is going on with player models at distance? Cartoons that look like they are green screened onto the map? Hit detection, and a few other things. |

and proximity map needs tweeking, enemy right beside me was not showing up,
the enemey not showing up might have had sensor dampeners on and scan reduction skills
they implimented a load of stuff that can make u not apear on the radar |

Like i said guys,
yes we got a few niggles , but nothing like the last build that was my reason for a months break around about. but it is all good. Some are going to moan like an old granny in a rocking chair, wanting hand an foot waiter service.

some moan because they lost shizzle,

hit detection hmm hard one,
uncle Tami says; visit specsavers you haff bad eyeballs. my shots hit when i aim where the round goes. if you stopped staring at your second screen full of blue'ish movies your rounds may just hit and not just off your second screen but the enemy palming your face with the but of his assault rifle.
this build gets a 3/4 thumbs up , the last build was bad, no it was not bad it was god damn Fugly it was so damn Fugly i kept getting stressed and having angina attacks. |

The edges of those capture points are super iffy, I've had the same problem. There are invisible edges that seem to stick out from the structure, I've had problems too when I think I'm hitting people trying to capture/cancel etc and it's hitting the structure and not the dang person :-/ |
