Love playing at a frame-rate of negative 25 FPS for 10 minuets straight.
Thanks for ruining the game CCP, now when does the next build release that fixes all these amazingly garbage mistakes?
Do us all a favor and revert this catastrophe to what we had before and work on this "new" build for another 4 months before releasing it on the public. |

Well I have to agree with you on the low framerate.. its not good to add the smoke and fog effect everywhere, that really does not help the situation, the game is not smooth at all for many people. Also another thing I encountered is when I am in the map before deployment, and all the points where I can spawn are blinking the framerate is really low and its tearing, until I push deployment button and the drop points stop blinking and all is smooth... That means the slow framerate could be also caused by UI aswell as by smoke and fog effects. |

First, I think there's a more specific discussion going on in Bug-forum.
Second, I agree as on some cases lag gets so intense even basic movement in built-up area becomes a challenge. Like, being drunk 4''% and on coke at the same time.
We are talking about half a minute periods of "fps" with one frame in three seconds. =F |

I played a game last night where the lag was so bad i couldn't even open the neocom menu, the screen was pracitcally frozen till the end of the match. |

Yeah they need to repair these issues FIRST so we can at least play(smoothly) and not worry about our PS3 to be broken .. then the game mechanics, and similar issues are NEXT after this.. Not the other way around.. |

I have no idea what the deal is, I just had to hard-reset my PS3 because I couldn't do anything when I joined a match. I tried spawning, and my screen would move ONE FRAME every ~30 seconds, couldn't even access XMB. Game was still running, had XMB music going and everything. It wasn't frozen as it moved every now and then, it was just severely limited in framerate.
CCP ****** up big time with this build, they should be ashamed.

first day on a new build its to be expected that lag would be bad though my experience for the few hours i got in yesterday i didnt experience hardly any, wasnt the first 3 days of precursor build but hey i could move and not die from fire i cant avoid or return. |

Its really not about internet connection lag, but framerate (screen tearing) lag that is caused by game features. |

I had actually no lag on the Asian servers, though the matchmaking system loved putting me in U.S matches But i did experience horrific lag not 1hour ago, could bearly move until i suddenly appered out of bounds and as i was slowly making my way back to the battle with 19sec to spare BAM it went to 0!! |

Its actually worse, the previous build was good compared to this. For example In the previous build when looking to far distance it wasnt as laggy as it is now with all those new smoke and fog effects added. |

Dont make me wrong, I would really want to love this game I love EVE universe, but these issues are just frustrating, I do not mean that this game is bad, its just these issues that are not being priority for CCP.

It's worse... MUCH worse. IMO this would be explainable as a very first build, but not the build it is supposed to be. So sad, yet another PS3 online game fallen victim to garbage QA and limited research based on fan feedback. F2P or not, this game is going to fail miserably as it is. Starhawk devs didn't believe me, yet look at its garbage sales.
Dust 514, another PS3 failure unless they change their direction VERY quickly. |

Lot of my previous complaint about frame rate, graphics and lag, are no longer a concern, well not in my first few games with this new build...
I need to update the client on my ps3 in the other room which has the move, then I can test more...
But honestly I can't see a lot of the issues others are reporting, well not yet anyway....
I hope it stays stable |

The issues we're presenting aren't being ignored, the product itself isn't final, and we're helping them make SWEEPING changes to user interface, rewards system, and balance mechanics of the game itself.
Asinine/sarcastic/unproductive comments like "when does the next build release that fixes all these amazingly garbage mistakes" don't help anyone. CCP isn't just sitting idly by twiddling their ****ing thumbs while this is going on.

Like every other PS3 dev, they will need at least 4 months or longer to get things right from this garbage build (let alone all the problems they had in previous builds).
It's sad but true. I really wish they could fix it quickly, but they just don't have the talent. Very few PS3 devs do. Probably Sony's fault for forcing them to release earlier than they are ready. This is how most PS3 games have failed, at least in the last 2-3 years that is.

I had this experience on the last build, one time only. I was flying my Dropship, then of all a sudden the frame rate drops and crashed my dropship to a building and died. . I respawn and the frame rate just keep dropping until I can't play it anymore. I asked one of the guys in the game they say that they're ok.
I stop playing. Then it was ok the next day. |

I really hope that is the case, I had my fair share of issues playing games before, but nothing like this. When I try tomorrow night, and the same thing happens, I am going to be beyond pissed.

You're all forgetting its barely the second day of codex, new build means new bugs = hotfixes, its how it goes. Also take into consideration that the Shanghai office is on holiday until the 16th. Do you expect then to work around the clock 24/7 just to keep everyone happy? they're hardworking people who deserve time off at some point. They will fix said issues (and more) just give them TIME! |

Maybe check out the port forwarding thread, as maybe (not saying it is - but checking may help you) its your router causing some of your issues |

wow, i played like 3 hours yesterday with no lag, a frame drop of 1 sec every min or so (thats quite better than before) and accurate hitboxes, and after reading all of this i'm not sure about playing now, it's like we are playing different games |

This is strange, I haven't had a single issue. Hit detection is great, framerate is great (had a single bad match where it would freeze for about a second every 5-10 seconds, but that was it). I have no problems, this build has been excellent so far. |

I think the lag FPS issue might be on your end. Earlier yesterday before I got home I read some of the bugs people were having. I was afraid they butchered this build as well.
To my complete and utter shock the build was airtight last night. It was working so well, I got suspicious and tried to do things that seemed to make me either DC or hard freeze in the previous build. The 5 objective match used to either hard freeze or boot me from the match, or hard freeze on the way back to MQ when ever I was wining on that map. It never happened.
I got nothing. So far the build has been rock solid for me. Contact lists still load slowly but you can fix that now by loading it from the neo com first then loading it from the invite player to squad window, but some of the load time for stuff like fittings has been cut down on by 2/3rds which is impressive to me.
Any FPS problems I have been having have been negligible reduced to maybe one or two situations when I clipped from one location to another. But I can really only remember it happening twice.
Do you have a wired conection or a wifi conection? I have a hard line so I am beginning to wonder if that makes any kind of difference. |
