Curious as to why. I'm sure the game has evolved leaps n bounds by now. Right? |

Probably has something to do with it being a closed beta. With that said, it's not like CCP is going to sue you for telling your friends/efriends about your experience with the beta. |

If EVE is anything to go by, the NDA will not get dropped and you'll never be able to techincally discuss beta.
The NDA from EVE is still in effect, i beta tested it years and years ago and i dont think it ever got dropped. |

Because we are still testing it. Hence the term beta. |

It doesn't matter how the game is or not, the bottom line is that the beta is accessible to a huge number of people, and the NDA has become totally unenforceable. Check "Dust 514 gameplay" on YouTube, there are dozens of videos from beta players uploaded there. Back before the merc pack, before every EVE player got a key and everyone who ever signed up got a key, before all PSN+ players got access, maybe then the NDA was effective and could be enforced. Now it's just a farce. If you can't enforce a rule, the rule stops having any legitimacy. |

The bigger question is why does it matter to you? It's still in affect and CCP still feels as though they need it to be in affect. |

Because CCP doesn't want videos all over youtube showing a buggy game.. When its revealed to the world they want it to be a finished product free of micro freezing and any other blemishes. |

How is that the bigger question? That's an asinine question. It matters to him because he wants to talk about Dust to people or show videos to people without worrying about being banned from the game. Why else would he be asking? |

because this is a big undertaking with more and more content being released with each beta build so while they where beta testing in may it was only a select portion of maps, menus, equipment, and game modes. Also when CCP corrects bugs found in beta those fixes also have to be tested. CCP is taking this game very seriously and is bent on releasing it only after they are sure its something they will be proud of.

It's not an asinine question at all, but it is foolish of you to assume so.
The point still stands the NDA is in affect, and as for the whole being banned thing you only get banned if you are dumb or foolish enough to do so online and with a trail leading back to you. Stop acting like his hero.

You should maybe check YouTube sometime and see whether you think the NDA has accomplished this purpose or not. Spoiler: It hasn't. |
