It was error code 803 something.
Downloaded the whole thing just fine. Then when it tried to load it gave me an error and turned off system.
Now I have to re download the whole thing again.
Edit I sent the required info to support. Will keep updated after re downloading again. |

OK I erased dust and then followed the psn instructions for a safe mode reset and rebuild
http://ps3selfrepair.com/ps3-error-code-80010038-game-loading-issue/
This didn't fix it either.
Anyone else have any ideas? |

Try resetting your router. Turn off the PS3 and unplug the router for at least a minute. Then plug it back in, let it reconnect fully, then try the patch again. It worked for me. Routers can become crap without the occasional reset. |

Well I was finnaly able to install the original dust. That is promising. Now I am downloading again the new patch.
I did the safe mode steps again and restored the files. this time it may be working I'll know in an hour.. |

Same issue, here. Just trying a router reset. Deleted and reinstalled twice. Will report as per sticky if no luck this time. Good luck |

Woo-hoo! Looks like after deleting twice and loading in safe mode and rebuilding files, that fixed it.
Or it was some other random thing. But hey its working now!

This same. Error is haunting me still.
I was having corrupt file crashes every 3-4 games since the chromosome update.
So I decided to uninstall and redownload. And this error does not go away no matter what I try?
I have upgraded my router, skipped the router entirely and tried a direct modem Ethernet connection..
I have done a safe boot and rebuilt and the other thing.
The on,y thing left is to completely reset my ps3? Anyone got any other ideas?
The error I get is 80010038. It does not show any file download and won't run and imstall.,other is no file to erase. So every attempt I have to redownload the entire file.
I am in the u.s in the eastern time zone |

I looked around and if none of the usual tricks work, your HDD may be failing. |

It seems that the file I attempt to download from the server is corrupt.
After formatting the ps3 and downloading other games and software all worked fine.
However as soon as I download the dust file as soon as it tries to install i get this same error.
Logic tells me that it is the file not the system. Reasoning every other game and service work fine.
Reasoning 2 formatting a hard drive clean usually fixes any corrupted data. That's what I read anyway.
The fact that it happens at the exact moment the file is done downloading and tries to install.
Anyone have any other reason that it is my hard drive and not the file? Everything else works fine except dust so I would be replacing my hard drive just to be able to keep playing dust. |
