This game is going to have the same problem that eve has. The haves and the have nots. Free players who log on casually for a little shooter fun are just going to be targets for the people who live in this game, though I doubt there will be many engaged in that enterprise outside of the present eve fan base. I don't see the point in spending countless hours and dollars building a character and gear to rival the other players on the field. Not when I can plunk down 50 bones or whatever for the latest call of duty or borderlands or what have you and instantly be on a level field as far as gear in an environment where battles are decided by player skill, not by currency be it real or imagined.
It's a neat idea guys. It really is. But in it's present form it's a pc shooter that you can connect to with a ps3. This is not why I own a ps3. The graphics are subpar, the story is less than immersive (being polite), and it just feels like a lot of work to get to where you can enjoy yourself. That's not worth my time or my money, and it's exactly the same reason I don't play eve.

There will be matchmaking to match players in battles based on total skill points in highsec, so you won't have to get steamrolled by the rich experienced players.
EDIT:
Were you expecting immersive story in a multiplayer only game? Seems a bit unreasonable.
Graphics are secondary to gameplay, and graphics have improved with every new update that I have witnessed. They will likely continue to improve. |

Kagehoshi, people like them. They don't like to listen to reason and understanding. You could even have told him that this was a closed beta and right now it only SEEMS unfair cause a lot of things haven't been implemented yet. Or maybe even speak what's probably his native language of stupid, but he wouldn't listen. They come into this game and expect it to be like Call of Duty, or Borderlands, or whatever effing game they enjoy. When they find out that it takes more than two brain cells to play it, they flame the **** out of the game.
Threads like these and the people who make it aren't making this to hear reasons to stay in the game. They're flaming the game one final time before they stop playing. They're trollers and the best solution to them, is to ignore their threads and their whining.
