Quick question, are these scanners set down on the ground and left there to continuously scan, or are they kinda like shield boosters on vehicles, and by that I mean we activate them and they last a certain amount of time, then have a set cool down?

Seems very unlikely, given that there is a counterpart signature reducing module (for want of a better word). Wouldn't be much use away from the user.
High slot would be most likely, but 1 day away. Actually looking forward to this, as someone who does a fair bit of sniping. |

I'm just curious if we'll get any WP for using one of these to help our allies find & kill enemy soldiers. Will we get a kill assist if our active scanner makes someone's dot show up & then one of our guys kills him within the next 10-20 seconds? |

Well it is Active Scanner Equipment so I imagine it will give some form of WP reward, because equipment slots are way too precious to be wasted. |

Yeah I always got the impression is was a placeable item. Should be handy for sniping, so I'm looking forward to trying them out too. |
