I would like to ask kindly how in gods name you become an effective squad leader.
More than a few times I have been a squad, and majority of the time I give it up because I have no clue how to use the role. I can't find a manual on squad leaders, and I think in the closed beta manual, it said you hold R2, and there's a squad leader option there which I can't find. I was also comendated with an orbital strike and again, couldn't use it as I had no clue, worse yet, for some reason I tried to move squad and I couldn't both before the game, and mid game.
Also 'dancers' as i like to call them, and majority of players do too I think, are really ******* annoying. I hate it when i am mowing down a few people, or maybe just sprayin in a general direction and getting a kill assist, and out of freaking nowhere some jackass with a shotgun and scout suit prances around like a fairy blasting away at us and takes me and two of my buddies out. Please fix this Devs.
Also, on a side note, logis. I am usually a logi, or a heavy with a HMG. Usually I repair, put down an uplink, and a nanohive if we are all camping and playing king-of-the-hill (I never use nano-injectors cause they are WAY too buggy to use effectively, and by the time I find the spot I'm suppose to inject, they are dead or I die). Issue is that I rarely get anything for repairing, and I'm not sure if its because I'm doing something wrong or maybe that it pays more to kill (and I cannot shoot for **** thanks to the astronomically low sensitivity, the hit'n'miss hit detection, and movement of the sniper rifles makes it impossible to aim).
Also an idea. At the end game, the winners get the ISK stated in their contract and 25% of the ISK in the enemy's contract, but the losers get all the salvage. Just my personal thought. The salvage would help the losers for their next game, and the winners get to spend extra ISK on whatever they want. |

OB is gained from the vehicle delivery button, in addition to your normal LAV/HAV etc the OB will be at the bottom. Once selected the mini map comes up and you X where you want the OB to hit.
Defend commands etc i'm not 100% sure but its probably 'go to minimap' and probably the X button again. |

So you first complain about people not knowing their roles and then you complain about not being able to track a shotgun scout with your HMG? If you let a scout come close enough to kill you with a shotgun, you better have some capable support from faster players, or you die. |

If you hit the down button on your D-pad, it will bring up the mini-map during battle, from here you can hold down X button and then move your left analog stick in the direction of what you want your squad to do (Rally, Defend, Assault, etc).
You can also call in an orbital strike by hitting the Right button on your D-pad, and choosing the last option, which will again bring up a mini-map and ask you to paint a target.
Squads also work better with mics, so that is a much better alternative. I typically use the Squad leader marks to mark Targets for my sniper, or AV units that are trying to find the target I need them to hit.
Hope that helps. |

Thanks. I'll know for next time then. I wish they would actually tell you how to do these things. |
