I'm not talking about other players confirming what they have heard, I need a CCP dev to confirm this.
Why?
Because this will be affecting peoples play style and AUR usage. If we are certain another reset is coming, we can be more cavalier about how we test things, and spend the AUR we might have, as well as taking chances with skills. If not, then we have to play conservatively, assuming this is it. |

IIRC the devs stated that there needed to be a reset when moving from singularity to tranquility, which was supposed to happen when introducing the next build. But since the patch notes state that 'codex' will still be deployed on singularity, I think it's save to assume that there will be another reset after the one on Oct. 1st (in addition to any reset that may happen on final launch or when entering open beta), because we still have to move to tranquility. Just my personal deduction, correct me if I'm wrong. |

I noticed the Sisi reference as well, and it did surprise me as this new build were apparently meant to go on TQ from what we were told earlier. And your reasoning is sound.
I would just like to hear it from the DEVS directly. |

I expect there is still a lot more in terms of modules,additional racial types for all dropsuits and vehicles and turrets,maps and heaps of other stuff still to be added. So I would personally say there will be a lot more resets before the official launch of the game at which point there will obviously be another complete reset of everything. The game has to be right before it is launched and there can't be a mess up such as with some of the updates in EVE Online.
I reckon DUST 514 will probably be launched in the first quarter of 2013. Although the original date was mooted to be late summer of 2012 and EON magazine mooted a date of by October 2012 in their summer issue both of which will be incorrect.
So therefore depending on how much you die and how many Merc Packs you have bought just spend Aurum bot be wise about it.  |
