I have a question for the developers - is the restock feature being re-worked so that it only purchases items you're missing to complete a stack of fits, instead of just buying one of every item as it does currently?

This is a MAJOR sources of frustration amongst players I've talked to - if you're one of them, throw a +1 to this thread.

We got lots of great loot now from our matches, restoring the old restock functionality allows us as players to actually use this loot to offset market costs. Right now, avoiding buying too much of one item or another involves an incredible amount of micromanagement that the restock mechanism used to prevent, this would be an amazing thing to restore if its not already in the works.

I did see restock mentioned in the patch notes for Codex, but nothing specifically about restoring the old functionality.

Oh - and apologies if I've missed a thread about this earlier, but with the new build coming out, I wanted to check again and see if this was on the developers radar.

Once again, +1 the thread and show some support here if this matters to you, fellow players. The more support we have here the better!

I agree 1000%, which is 10x more than is even possible... so you know I'm pretty serious.

The way it was before was really brilliant IMO.

Except that in terms of loot goes, not that useful anymore since only rare items will be in loot. Other than that, still very very useful.

Just make it an option, since some people complained before and that is why they changed it to how it is now.

I absolutely prefer the old way. Right now I find myself micromanaging my restocking EVERY single time I go to add more suits because I find I have more of one (and usually only one) module than the others. Then I of course have to take into account to double or triple some of the modules I purchase when I have more than one of them on the Dropsuit. And then when I inevitably upgrade to a new suit and use some, but not all, of the same modules I have to micromanage the new fit too.

 Agreed.

I use a couple of logistics fits with significant overlap (weapons, modules) and different equipment. When you throw in the salvage it makes it really awkward working out what I need to get to have everything balanced out. I can cope, but it'd be much easier to just select what I want to stock up to, instead of how many fittings to buy.

i think its been confirmed by the dev however it was one of many things not listed on patch notes.

Patch notes are not inclusive of everything.

+1 I totally agree the old system was better ... but it did need clarifying in BIG letters that you were restocking TO a level rather than BY an quantity.

The old system had its pitfalls aswell mind ... you still had to individually over stock items that were being used on more than one fitting if you wanted X stock of both fittings to be available. Though this was far better than the current which involves restocking every item in a fitting and going into Market to stock the suits just because you've got 5 extenders in loot or used another fitting that had a repper shared.

The solution I suggested a long time ago was a little complex but it's possible their reworking of it could be along these lines ... reverting to the old system but then tagging items in assets to a fitting, so that when you restock another fitting with a shared module it sees 10 of your stock is tagged for another fit and buys enough for stock of the new fitting.

You missed out repeat for every item fitted ... then exit fittings ... enter market ... goto dropsuits ... buy stock ... once you've got everything level again go back to fittings and restock entire fitting to the level you want !!!

And you don't find that a pain in the 'young feline' !

If you weren't here ... the old system would buy 6 of this and 2 of that and 27 of the other to bring your total stock level for that fitting up to what you asked it to ... much simpler ... then just double stock the nanohives or whatever you use on multiple fits.

I don't recall the restocking to be any different than it is now, and ive been here since pre E3. Maybe I just forgot.
But restocking a single item is possible, just select said item from the edit option and select restock, works for me.

I liked the old system too.

Finish match, restock to 20, play again.

Particularly now as I am specialised with one set of skills I have two three fits of the same suit with all modules at 20 I never need to worry about induvidual items.

Now all I'm worried about is have I restocked all my modules properly.

The old map, old strafe speeds, AI swarms, heck the forums are a lot more tame when they first started out, this game has really changed and continues to do so, interesting where she'll end up!
