This just happened to me and I want to know if anyone else has encountered the bug. Searching the forums turned up nothing.
I was playing the 5 objective skirmish map and I was driving an LAV. I was stopped on a ramp near objective D and I pressed down on the D-pad to bring up the map. Well, when I returned to the game, my LAV was below the paved area of the objective, but I was above the regular dirt ground inside a square pit. From my perspective, it looked like the entire paved and the buildings surrounding objective D were built on top of this square pit that I was in. I was able to drive around inside this pit, but I had to suicide to get out.
Has this happened to anyone else? |

I've been spawned inside the ground and fallen upon moving once as well as seeing teammates have the same occur.
In a common squad I run with we watched our SquadLeader in his LAV with a teammate both drive into the ground before falling down to nothingness, all of us laughing at it the whole time, on the map with all the stone spike pillars all over. We figured he somehow magically clipped his way through the earth itself.
This would seem to be a clipping issue with texture borders and boundaries and occurs on foot just as often if not moreso. Look at how you stutter or can get stuck when climbing steep hills (or even shallow ones for that matter) or walking across terrains where constructed obstacles (pipes, roadblocks, concrete patches) are integrated into the natural environment itself. You'll frequently get stuck or suddenly move to a crawl when running across the differing collision planes. |

I've had this issue once or twice whilst loading a map, the only way to fix it was a reboot. It just showed a view of the camera half in the floor and half above it.
I've had this happen when being respawning a couple of times too. |
