Mostly a question for capsuleers (since I don't play EVE) - what is the average/approximate cost difference between a Blueprint Original and Blueprint Copy? Is it like a 100x difference between BPO and BPC? Or 1,000x? (Or more?) I'm sure the cost ratio may vary by whatever is sold (BPC to BPO shield recharger ratio is smaller than BPC to BPO Type II Assault suit), but is there a general "rule-of-thumb" in EVE where the cost ratio of BPC to BPO is X to Y? |

In eve its usually 10x more.
Dust 514 side I can be being around 100x or even 1000x per original however...
I dont think BPOs in the future would be used for on the spot manufacturing. |

Since the player market hasn't opened yet we don't know where the BPOs will settle. Most of the militia gear is BPO, but if they drop in some AUR only BPO items they might come up for a good amount of isk. Depends on what we feel the conversion ratio balance is worth. I imagine we'll see it inflate & deflate a few times....not to mention people trying to play the market to get extra money. |

I'm not a capsuleer, I'm a maggot, and from my knowledge, the MAG BPOs were 1.200 while the BPC for the Type-I is 5 or 7 Aur? Someone who's actually online can probably double check that.
Going by 5 Aur, which I believe is correct, then it's a 240x increase. |

The cost is relative to how scarce they'll be. How will blueprints copies and originals be acquired when player creation of mercenary gear/vehicles/etc goes in? It's impossible to say how they'll be priced without knowing anything about how their acquisition works. |

EvE comparison won't help. In EvE both bpo and bpc are used to make an item in a manufacturing slot at cost in other materials. Bpc can be made from a bpo, bpo can be researched in r&d lab to make items more efficiently. And bpc don't normally make 1 item, they make a set number of production runs, each of set number of items. EvE production is complex enough some people just play it as a game and don't fly around in ships other then hauls stuff to market. Dust is using a diffrent system at moment, no idea if they plan to keep it that way or make it like eve. If people think it's complicated now, lol.
Standard suit bpc was 5aur, bpo standard suit was about 1200-1300, till removed from market and game reset.

An eve example for you:
A battleship BPO cost around 1billion isk. A battleship BPC cost around 750,000 isk. These items are used to make the ships. You must still acquire "parts" or materials in order to produce the battleship. It does not just spawn into existence like it seems to do in dust. |

Not to mention that BPO prices vary depending on the research and ME done on the BPO too.
I find it VERY interesting that CCP have introduced some BPO's into Dust because they hate having BPO's kicking about in EVE as it's an anchor point for the economy. |
