And I can hear the cries already for when they turn on friendly fire. Cause friends Mag has always had it, and this is why clans are loyal to each other, you don't hang with clowns that shoot you in the back all the time, this is regulated by your brothers next to you. I still debate whether taking friendly knifing away was a good thing or a bad thing...then I remember the sword in Sabo C and agree it wasn't a bad thing to take away...still wish they did it differently (no friendly knifing within, say, 10m of an asset or objective, even if just to prevent the all-too-common knife-the-friendly-capping-and-take-it-for-yourself)
But friendly fire in MAG was just so...natural. Wouldn't be the same at all if it wasn't there. Dust really needs FF turned on... |

But the important is not really know who is the best or the worst, probably the best is to find nice people willing to teach others and willing to have fun, because in the end of the day, any video game is for have fun with friends.
In the other hand I'll appreciate if we refer to other players with respect!
Cheers!
The MAG players can't help it, it's in their nature to bicker like children. Since, I've joined, however, all of the hate and bravado are coming from non-MAG players. Hence, this thread I see that a lot. Yes it happens on all sides...but a lot of the crap about MAG players and why we're worthless is coming from players from a game that isn't even an FPS...and they want to tell us how to play a genre we already know?
They wonder why many of us don't care for them...yet, when we say anything bad about them they devolve into crying and insult-throwing while claiming they're better...Real mature... |

They wonder why many of us don't care for them...yet, when we say anything bad about them they devolve into crying and insult-throwing while claiming they're better...Real mature... dubs it died down quite a bit on this build all the trolls went on hiatus then news of the new build they all came back like flies on ****. sad really. phoenix, kiddies comming from 1 shooter they played a few years makes them an expert in that field? so with that logic a doctor, carpenter, mechanic, or any other treadesmen who passes their classes and goes out into the field is a master in their trade? games are all different and change with age EVE ppl know the system and the game FPS ppl are just trying to rub one off like a wannabe jersey shore episode. So...you'll take my advice if I were to tell you how to play EVE? Good to know. Because that's what I see happening; people with little console FPS experience (or little FPS experience in general) telling FPS players how to play...an FPS. Its like one of us telling an EVE player how to play EVE. Its just doesn't work.
For many MAG players, MAG wasn't the first FPS they've played. Heck, I've been playing FPSs for...somewhere between 18 and 20 years. So, um...yeah...can't exactly say I don't have any experience here.
We have people trying to make an FPS into an MMO (where your skill [as in player skill, not SP skill] doesn't matter, your gear/money/skills do) and/or trying to say that unless you use only these EVE strategies and apply what an EVE player tells you to (which has a good chance at not working, at least not until they open up the game, but even then may still not work), and doesn't consider that the games are part of two different genres and they may not be the gods they think they are.
We want the game to stay true to an FPS; making player skill matter first and foremost; the game mechanics to work properly; grouping with friends and clanmates and have organized battles work. We don't want people turning this into a skill-less gear-focused game where it doesn't matter who fights, only what it is they're using. We also don't like being told that we have to deal with that and stop telling EVE players that they're wrong in trying to change the FPS part of the game. |

Tony Calif wrote:I shouldn't be so hard on you tbh Cerebral. You're alright at the FPS side of things. But the bottom line remains. Scrubs need to practise to get good. And they need to try things they might fail.
Like I say, chat to some MAG players who actually had a brain in addition to raw skill. Aside from which MAG was not a raw gun game experience. Enigma99 said it first; UT/Q3 players will be the best. If they come here. If they leave UT & Q3.
Established MAG clans are simply go to Mercs. If they fail you in Dust, they're scrubs. Easiest way to deal with it. Game is way too different from either to get them to play Dust. |
