Most feared corp on the game is STB. You can tell by the 1000 hate threads. STB came from MAG, weren't great, (good clan, not great) but are mostly unstoppable here.

Lol at mag players thinking their the best. Ever think that good mag players were only good cos they were the only ones who bothered playing it? I'm the best at most the games that only I play.

All you BF3, COD, MAG young punks need to be prepared to be dominated by the Battlezone crowd!

Well you will be able to tell the BF3 players as they will be the ones who use vehicles exclusively.

You will also be able to tell who the COD players are as they will be running around with no clue of what an objective is. They will most likely be sniping or even hiding in random spots to ambush people and then brag about their KDR after they went 2-0 for that match. These same players will also complain that it takes way too many bullets to kill someone and if they see someone first and fire their weapon they should get the auto kill because this only make sense.

For the MAG players it depends on which ones you are talking about. If you are talking about blue dots then you wont see any difference between them and your normal idiot that just runs around playing this game and generally being worthless.

If its a MAG player that played in at least a decent clan you might see some interesting strategies when they try to attack. They may or may not be successful but they will at least try to keep the enemy on their toes.

Finally there will be the true good gamers who play this. They will pretty much stomp everyone as they wish and will generally appear to be unstoppable and possibly using "hacks" according to the players they kill.

I played MAG off and on for about a year, but I *still* suck at using a controller for FPS games. I have been using the keyboard/mouse since wolfenstein 3d was freeware, and the controller just feels so slow and clunky it drives me crazy. Anyone have tips on how to adjust to an fps using the ds3?

MAG players may not be a dominating force. Who knows?

What I can say is, so far what Dust offers is an easy transition for a MAG player which I believe is completely by design.

Due to the fact that there wasn't an organized battle system, MAG players had to take things into their own hands by organizing and challenging eachother through forums and PSN chats. This player driven meta game is a big part of what kept the MAG forums thriving for so long and gave birth to a hardcore dedicated (although somewhat small) playerbase.

CCP obviously took notice of this and thought "we need these guys to play our game" they have even gone so far as to offer MAG themed drop suits to entice the MAGgots. Hell, even the control scheme is almost identical

I'm not here trying to chest thump and say MAG players will dominate in Dust but you should all be glad to have such a dedicated and passionate community of gamers coming to help mold Dust into something great

Alot of the recognizably good players I play I do know to be former Mag players, but how many good players out there aren't MAG players is what I'm wondering.

Dude, COD is for little kids, grand dads, and grand moms. I know a dude like 70 still playing cod lol. I like battlefield better than call of shytty lol. I had COD 3 for the xbox 360 and the game was so boring I was turned off by the series. Later on, friends and family encouraged me to get call of Shytty MW2. While they telling me to get this game. I'm a dude who was into games like Rainbow 6 and ghost recon, so I was already into first person shooters and third. So I play 50 dollars to get this call of shytty game because everybody was asking me to try it out. I played MW2 for a while. I wasn't impressed. Call of shytty is not a hardcore game. It's for casual players which I don't like. Thats boring as hell to me. I like deep games and thats the one of the main reason I like dust, but later on I tried out Battlefield BC2 and MAG which destroyed call of shytty to me. Just like BF3 destroying mw3 right now. Yeah mw3 sold a lil more. But thats only because you have little kids, grand dads, and grand moms playing it. lol you can feel like you the best gamer in the world going against them all you want bro....

Aw yeah, mag is better than COD and BF3 kills call of shytty everyday like fish for breakfast. Black Ops was the best one. Mainly because wager matches and being just a more interesting game.

Dust is OK, but its not as good as MAG game play as yet, although some other things Dust is already doing better than MAG ever did....

planet side 2, well, that is a whole different story. That is MAG on steroids, a true MAG replacement, but sadly only on PC....

I better pop my MAG disc in again...I miss the old MAG.....

MAG is the best large scale battle (player numbers minimum 32 per side) FPS game ever made on the PS3.
