At the moment it seems really difficult to actually give your squad orders. I don't understand why you cannot tell your squad to defend or attack an objective, however you can tell them to attack or defend an ammo dump. Also actually selecting an order is a bit tedious by having to go into the map by pressing down on D pad and scrolling along. Also I don't think there should be the option to defend or attack a particular team mate or enemy, seems kinda pointless and gets in the way when trying to place a rally point on the map, but being able to tell your squad to defend or attack a particular vehicle is a good idea.
So what I would like to see done:
1. Some kind of easy to access menu for squad leaders that will have preset options, like attack/defend objective A,B,C etc. Possible also for ammo dumps, especially in the team death match game.
2. Remove the option to attack/defend specific people.
3. Make the scroll faster on the map, so it's easier and quicker to choose a rally point.
4. Maybe some kind of voice command to reinforce what the squad leader has asked the squad to do or wrtiting at the top of screen, something like 'Squad Command: Attack Objective C'.
Just my ideas and opinions, add to or criticise my list.

You can pull up the squad commands by holding R2 and then clicking R3. Then select the command and set by looking at the target and pressing R1. This method allows you to set commands on objectives. As for why you can't set them on objectives with the overhead map, I don't know. Anybody have an answer to that question? |

Thank you! OMG you have no idea how long I've been searching and digging for this kind of info. I've just been using the overview to try and work out orders to my squads.
Is this the same method on how to call in an Orbital Strike? Since I started actually "trying" to be a good squad leader the one thing I've been trying to figure out the most is how to use the orbital strike. Most of the time by the time I see the notification that one is available I'm in the heat of battle or respawning and when I get a chance to try, one has already been called in and I can't seem to figure a way to fire it myself.
On the topic of squad leaders and their commands, removing the ability to target hostile infantry for attack is a no fly for me. How else am I going to paint that massive target on a sniper's forehead deep in the mountains? |

Thanks, I clearly didn't know there was already a menu lol
To call in an orbital strike its right on the D-pad and its at the bottom of the list for me. |
