I was just wondering how the fog of war works like when you are either waiting to spawn or you press down to look at the map. From what I can tell there's no consistency which makes someone/thing show on the map or not, like it doesn't seem to matter if you hold one of the ammo dumps, objectives, or if you have people in that area, it doesn't mean you can see whats going on in that area. Anyone know? |

If you're asking what determines if an enemy infantry unit has a red chevron displayed over it (or a diamond, in a vehicle's case), that's determined by line of sight. If you or a team mate can see an enemy, as in lay eyes on them, then they get marked with a red chevron and can be seen on the minimap. |

But im pretty sure not even all my team mates always show up lol And also there does seem to be darker and lighter areas on the map, which change, which is what i'm calling the fog of war, and if its a light area you can see whats going on and if a dark area you can't.
Unless this is just me. |

Your team mates should all show up on the map when you're in the overview. Could be that a good number of them are spending a little too much time being dead, so it makes your map look empty.
As for the change in lighting, are you noticing these changes in the same match or is it changing between matches? I know some maps have variations that take place between different times, but that shouldn't affect your ability to spot people.
I honestly haven't encountered that before. |

During the match. Like I said maybe its just me, I'll devote some quality time to just map watching next time. |
