not sure how it's going to work but i would like to throw out some suggestions of how i would like it implemented. at least certain aspects of it.
sure the commander role will be able to put down installations of various types and that kinda thing so not worried about it.
but i am more interested in the interaction between the commander and squad leaders.
best way i can explain it would be to give an example scenario.
commander has placed his installations for the given combat area, now what does he do?
he works primarily from the overhead map view he can see enemy troop movement (as a whole) better than running around on the ground.
so he uses the command wheel to issue orders to squads, example issues an attack order for squad 1 at location Bravo
when he does this. the squad leader for squad 1 has a message pop up that command has issued an order for squad one to attack target Bravo. Squad 1 leader can now accept or decline said order by pressing the right d-pad for accept. far as WP's go squad leader and commander now get a cut of the WP's if the squad attacks said target.
To help the commander out i would recommend color coding all the squads, that way you can tell which squads to issue orders to based on proximity.
not sure just throwing a few idea's out

I'm curious of how (if?) they'll implement warpoint bonuses for following these orders. Will squad members get their normal bonus for following an order issued by the team commander and confirmed by the squad leader, or will their be an additional bonus since it's both a squad leader and team commander order? Will the squad leader get order following bonuses, or an increased squad leader commission? Will they get either?
And presumably the team commander just gets a whole bunch of leader bonuses. Maybe bonuses for use of installations?

well since the commander should be in the mcc the whole time he should get Wp's from somewhere since he isn't on the ground. and i think the current wp system should be reduced a bit for what the squad leaders get now. that way once the command role is put in if both agree to it, it would bump it back up to what it is now. yes, i think the squad leader should get a slight increase in commission since he is following the chain of command. currently how it stand if you issue the order you do not get the bonus for kills but your squad get's the bonus and you get a slight cut of that. if a squad leader was following the commander issued order. he would then get a bonus on the kills he makes(repairs ect) that would be his commission. least that seems logical to me. |
