So I was going to buy the merc pack again to get the new suits but I'm hesitant because the description of the pack looks the same. I don't want to buy it and find out it was the wrong one so can anyone who has the new suits confirm this for me. Thanks a lot |

The merc pack itself is EXACTLY THE SAME. However, you can redeem 3 new suits if you decide to get the same thing as before. |

Wait! So does that mean you dont have to buy a new merc pack if you already have one and just redeem it? If so how do you redeem it? |

Ah. The offer on the MAG dropsuits is a limited timed window.
Personally I find this to be a slap to everyone's face. Especially those of us whom already purchased the 'Mercenary Pack' or more then one. |

Not true this is to try to temp more beta testers to join. You pay for the AUR, you haven't actully used your money yet, so no mircotransaction has taken place yet. You get the 40$ of AUR, and then you get beta access and a quick start pack.
If you want to mag suits but not the 20,000AUR you can buy them for 6,000 AUR each when they come out on the store. |

What really makes me sad is that CCP is openly grabbing peoples money. No one wants to play a game developed from a company that is greedy. At least not me. |

You have to purchase it withing a certain window to get the special suits. They are not part of the merc pack - they are a promotional giveaway. |

As a long time eve player, just saying it might be worth buying just for the extra drop suits, some eve players have billions of isk so you might get a lot for them when the two games are eventually linked together. I would guess you will get a billion isk for a beta drop suit if not more. |

Also, you can sell the extra ones at a high price to other players that don't get them at a later time, once they introduce the ability to trade/sell. |

Pretty much this. Not only will the suits (and SMG) come in handy for the first couple weeks after character resets, they will be crazy valuable to collecters in a year or more. Hopefully CCP will not release these suits anymore after Beta. It's anyones guess what a limited edition Beta suit will be worth in five years. As long as they are limited, it will be a butt load.

Assuming that CCP does not release the suits later I'd say it'll be like Tech 2 BPOs in EVE, which can go for Billions each. |

I was surprise they made Valor a scout suit. Back in MAG days, Valor in heavy suits with LMG was the main reason I love using LMG.
Edit. Oh...Raven's deadly ATAC 2000 and SVER's Vipera. |

How are the stats on the suits though? I expect that they are simply a re-color of the militia suits, just like the skinweaves are. Honestly, I see the skinweaves as being more valuable as far as rarity goes. Anyone can buy the merc pack right now,or even multiples of it to stockpile mag suits, which may very well end up on the Aurum market later, but the skinweave (despite being re colored militia suits) are truly limited beta suits, only given to players who played on that weekend in the last build.
Anyways, are these recolored militia suits, or recolored tier 1, that really determines the value IMO. |

According to this post by Cmdr Wang, the suits are "Regular [Insert Class Here] Type I". Meaning the 'Raven' Assault Type I would be the same, stat wise, as an Assault Type-I suit.
Or in other words, you are purchasing 3 Type-I BPOs - Scout, Assault, and Logi. |
