In EVE the 3PV is generated by camera drones that follow the ship. It would be nice if we had them here for vehicles too. They could be shooten down and then the driver has to use 1PV until another drone is ready. They could come from a drone bay thats mounted on the vehicle as a module.
What do you think? |

I like this idea a lot. Also EM weapons could disrupt the camera drones? I think this would need to be standard on vehicles and not a module.
Might be neat to have a dropsuit module that gives you access to a camera drone though. |

I mean that they have to fit the module to have 3PV |

I like the idea of the 3PV being to be messed with by shooting the drones, but I don't think vehicles should be penalized even further by having to use up a slot to have a third person view. |

I've zoomed directly in on my ship while it was taking torpedo fire and the didn't lose vision, so clearly these drones are pretty hardy. I doubt anything a DUSTer could do would hurt them. |

You have to realize that the camera drones do not really appear in Eve Online in terms of visual models. They are just there as part of the back story or in-game lore to explain the reason why capsuleers see their ships from the outside and not from inside their goo-filled pods. Capsuleers are currently not able to disrupt any camera drones. |

It should also be mentioned that, when a camera drone is destroyed, the ship just launches more from an unbelievably large stock. This means It's likely that these are on the nano-scale, so good luck trying to shoot them in EVE.
On the other hand, a "visual link jammer" could temporarily knock the entire system offline to force the pilot into 1PV, possibly even removing the HUD for the time as well. |

The drones are too small that they get hitten very often in EVE. In DUST we could expect them on a AR/shotgun size. |

Maybe there could be a certain View slot where we can mount just improvements for our view on the battlefield. |

You mean a slot for heat vision, night vision etc.? |
